Should I include buffet selection information...

... on an insert that accompanies the invitation? We're including a double-side insert for Hotel Info, Directions to Ceremony, Directions to Reception, and Special Information (i.e. "Dinner is served outside, it's October, some don't wear shorts and a tanktop or you'll freeze your a$$ off, etc. :)) In the Special Information section, would you (as a guest) appreciate knowing what food options you would have? Or would you just think it was information overkill?  Thoughts?

    Point to make-- It is a buffet, and not a plated/served dinner

    We thought about this, too b/c we are having a buffet.  I think that we decided not to list it.  We figure that everyone can figure it out the day of the wedding.  After thinking about it, it seemed like information overkill.  HTH.

    overkill but i think a menu on each plate at the reception is a good idea!

    probably overkill, buy if you think that you might have vegetarians out there - that the place would have to prepare something special for - you might want to have checks for buffet or vegetarian.

    overkill IMO.... it's not like you are going to serve something different if they don't like their options... I say keep it simple and don't put it.

    Agree with Timmys...  Don't include in the invitation, but think about putting a menu card on each place setting.  We were doing that when we were having buffet...  I think we may be changing to sit down, but will still do the menu.
