Wedding Day Transporation

I was just kind of wondering how everyone is handling wedding day transportation. We are considering getting a Limo from the church to the reception hall. I really want a limo. FI thinks it is not real important and we should "save" the money.  We have a total of 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen. I would really like to provide transporation for everyone. I think it would be fun for everyone. Any thoughts or ideas for us. Thanks for your input!

    I'm stuck on this issue as well.  We have absolutely no money for anything that could transport the wedding party from church to reception hall.  Especially, since most companies have a 3-hour minimum, it's hard to find a bus/limo company that will let you buy only one hour.  We will probably rent a car just for the two of us and see if we can get a friend/family member to drive for us, but we don't have anything secured for this at all.

    I liked the idea of a limo, but I didn't like the price, nor did I like the seemingly unending negative reviews of nearly every limo company in the city.We ended up just renting a really nice luxury car from a car rental company and having a family friend drive just DH and I around for the day.  The wedding party carpooled, and from what I've heard had a great time.  No complaints from them, but maybe I just had an easygoing wedding party ;-)

    Can I say how much I HATE limos? I get carsick in them EVERY time. Riding sideways or backwards is just freaky and it upsets my 'good balance'.

    We're borrowing a church friend's vintage Jag. My brother will drive me and FI around. I haven't figured out my wedding party's transport to our pic location and the site yet, but I imagine everyone will leave on the shuttle that my hotel is providing.
