so people asked if I want to go formal or not (I think more on the formal side)...but which dress would be formal?  Oh- and a few girls said things about beading and more detials- I'm kinda plain, as the girls who've met me IRL know... I wear pants and a button down to work everyday- hair in a ponytail almost always... I dont think I can really pull off beads- I wish I could, but its just not me... oh- and I forgot about that sexy dress...on its way...

this dress is too big for me, but the lady said its supposed to be pretty tight (oh, and ignore my bra)... I call it the sexy Maggie....

I think the Maggie is more formal and I love the band in black. Which one does your mom like?I am with Molly, the dress that was similar to the David's one at MB might be worth a second look. The beaded waistband on it would make it kind of a mesh of these two dresses. However, I think I remember you not liking the fabric on that one.

I like the fitted MB Bride dress best on you I think.  Going back to this post - http://talk.theknot.com/boards/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=61319143    I definitely like this dress best out of everything I've seen you in:

Stace, I agree, I like that one better than the DB one.  Sara, you look more comfortable in it.

Chief Crazystance just posted the one that I like best.  (Thanks, Chief!)That sexy dress is interesting. The whole sequins down the back look is very cruise ship-y to me. :P

cheif crazy stace- you are a genius!  Thats the perfect combination of the David and the Maggie!  I'm sending that to my parents right now. My Mom couldnt decide either, but when we compared pictures- she was leaning moretowards the David.

I think they are both beautiful and look great on you!  If I had to choose, I would go with the maggie.

Oooh, looking at the one Stace posted again...I do love that one.  It does look like a combo of the two!To answer your question though, the Maggie is more formal/traditional to me and the David is more modern, IMO!

you're right- I remember not liking the fabric... but I can't remember why I didnt like it... I'll have to try it on again though- cause I really really like it in the picture...

It was a rougher fabric.  It wasn't smooth feeling, it had a texture to it.  I liked the fabric!  You didn't seem crazy about it, but now that you've tried some other dresses on, maybe you'll like it!

Did anyone catch what designer that dress was from?I think Stace and I pulled it from the middle rack that had dresses on sale... but I only think that because you tried it on towards the end, right?

oh ok... the David was taffeta (sp?).  and it was rough like what you are describing- I didnt mind it- and it gave the dress a cool look to it.

I don't remember the designer, but a picture shown to the sales associate (as long as it wasn't the ditzoid that we had) should prompt them to be able to find it.

oh- I almost forgot- that crazy sales lady called me while I was on vacation.  She wanted to know if I had made a decision and when she would see me next... I might have to call and make sure she will not be in that day that I go back...lol- I'm evil (but she was awful)

If you go back to MB Bride, you should definitely request a new salesperson.

Wow, I'm surprised that she took the time and energy to call you. Definitely request someone else. She doesn't deserve the sale.

lol- my Dad is showing them to people at work!  Thanks ladies!  I think I will just have to keep looking.  Anyway- I'm beginning to enjoy dress shopping alittle.  And I think I'm going to have Sonja take me to that place she got her dress at, she loves that place.  Sorells or something? And I'm def dragging my mom to Greensburg! Thank you all so much for your honest answers!

After seeing that dress that Stacey posted...that's my favorite of the three. I think it's a good mix of the other two, and looks like you'll have an easier time moving around than the David. Just my 2 cents. GL!

I might be the only one, but I really LOVE the sexy Maggie you posted with the sequins. Love it. Maybe not for a springtime wedding, but for a nighttime one, heck yeah! :)

kwynn,I love the back of that sexy Maggie dress - but I really couldn't see what the front of the gown looked like from the mirror reflection. And the train flared out more -- and I have to say that Sara totally owns those form fitting gowns.  She looks amazing in those styles of gowns.
