Good morning!

Happy Hump day all!  My morning started off at 6:00 with  BANG!  LOL  Let me preface this by saying that today is my B-day, and my FI thinks he's a funny man.  So around 6, I hear thud, thud, thud-him running into the bedroom.  I open one eye in time to see him launch himself cannonball style onto the bed in order to wake me on my special day.  I start to get annoyed when BANG!  He hits the bed, his side drops to the floor, his eyes widen, and he rolls onto the floor.  LMAO.  he broke the f'in bed. LOL  I am still laughing at the evil grin on his face turning to sheer shock as the break cracks and he rolls on the floor. His little surprise turned a little too shocking for him.  he is currently trying to drill the bed back together.Happy Wednesday:-)

Good Morning. Happy Birthday to you!Had my first wedding anxiety dream. I went to pick up my dress and it wasn't my dress they gave me. In fact, it wasn't even a wedding dress! No one else seemed to think it was an issue. When I wanted people to make calls to find it, the phones didn't work, so FI came to fix the problem. Then I woke up. YIKES! At least IRL I already have my dress at home!Going for tuxes tonight - woo hoo!

Happy Birthday! (My DH's was yesterday, but I didn't break the bed waking him!) :) Hope it is fixable!I'm off to another interview, then just showing up at two more schools and trying to get interviews there. Very far apart, though, so I'll be gone most of the day driving around between them. And I am forcing myself to finish this skirt I'm sewing before moving on to another craft.

Happy b-day to your DH!  Good luck on the interviews-FI and i have been interviewing at schools all summer-it's tough out there!  But I'm sure you'll get something!  I've found that many school systems don't interview until August, so give it time!

Good morning! How do men always seem to get themselves into situations like that? I swear they don't have the same pathways in their brains as we do to think these things through. For about the 4th time this month, I woke up with a headache. It's bad enough to get one during the day, but waking up with one is total crap. These migraines are getting out of control, and I think it's time to either discontinue BC or get a rescue med (which I really hate to do). I'm having like 2-3 migraines per week. How am I supposed to go to work, not be a total witch AND plan a wedding like this? Ugh.

OOH and  bel138About your migraines. I too get them very severely I have been seeing a great doctor in Wexford and she has put me on some good meds (low side effects one of the effects is actually weight loss which can't be that bad can)But it has drastically changed the way I have felt especially with the problem of waking up with a migraine. If you'd like me to send you her information drop me an emailelishabowling at hot mailhope you feel better

Thanks elisha. I don't think I'm ready for Topamax yet. I would rather try a rescue med first before a preventative. I'll save the info though. Thanks!

Dori - it really does!  He was asking about my wedding and how I'm doing and then at the end was a "by the way, I'm in Iraq for the 4th time."  It really puts everything into perspective when my biggest worry is having to move all my belongings twice.

Morning, and happy hump day (speaking of which, Sara, how'd dinner go last night?). ;o)Verrrrry tired today...had two tough classes at the gym last night, and then we had to go over to FBIL's to check on their kittens while they're out of town (tough job, I know--they're adorable, but it does suck up an hour of each evening!). And FI accidentally turned his alarm on last night, even though he didn't need to get up early today, so it went off an hour earlier than mine. But hey, at least he didn't break the bed... ;o)

No probelm bel138I was hesitant on the topamax at first too. I've also found out that taking a magnesium supplement daily has helped me to stop having to take as many pain relievers too

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day! Happy Birthday Heather! :-) We're supposed to go to a church picnic tonight, but it looks like it may get rained out. :-/ Today is MIL's b-day, so I have to make sure DH calls her (thanks for the reminder, haha!) Bel- I hope you find the best remedy for your migraines. I rarely get headaches, but had a minor one last night and it sucked. I cannot imagine having migraines, esp. that frequent.

Good Morning everyone!! Happy Birthday!!! A broken bed sounds like a good gift to me! lol- you should tell people he broke your bed on your birthday...but dont tell them how-hehehe. Dinner was great! So- I'm not a very good planner and I had FI pick up chicken and potatoes, thats it- I figured I would have everything else- wrong! lol- I kinda winged it and made up my own recipe- but it turned out good! and the ultimate compliment...FI said the chicken was better than any chicken his mom has ever made...yay! (i'm horrible...)

Good morning ladies.  Today is my last day of office peace and quiet.  I have a migraine that I don't think I can take anything for and I'm totally freaking exhausted and it's only 9:40 am.  UGH!

morning girls. so glad it's wednesday, but the rain made it really really tough to get out of bed today! bel-i've been suffering from migraines for over 7 yrs. if you're getting that many per week, the rescue meds are not safe to be used that frequently and you should be on a preventative. i was on topomax for awhile, but it didn't work for me. the dosage prob needed to be higher, but i just didn't like the med. the flat pop/flat beer taste was getting really annoying. i didn't lose any weight, mostly bc i don't weigh that much to begin with. i just started seeing dr kaniecki, the headache guru, by a stroke of luck. he put me on atenenol (sp?), which is a beta blocker. he wanted me on something that wouldn't have weight gain as a side effect. it took about 2-3 wks for it to kick in, but its been working so far (knocks on wood). until then i was getting 4-6 migraines per wk. i haven't had one in over a week, which is unheard of for me. i have no side effects from the beta blocker, and only take a half each night. the dr also suggested these things: don't drink more than 12oz of pop each day; no coffee; begin some sort of relaxation routine (i.e., yoga, prayer, meditiation, soft music, or the CD from mhni.com, dr al lake); take 500mg of magnesium (which i actually haven't done. i did the first night, but i felt so pukey the next day. i need to go back to the magnesium though); eat small portions, 4-6 times daily; hydrate with 40-60oz of water (i also dont do..oops); no artificial sweetners (splenda is ok in small amounts); no msg if you didn't already know (i request no msg if we order chinese). he also says (in the info paper he gave me and wrote all over) that you should not take rescue meds more than 2-3 times per week. also, if you didn't already know, you should not take anything OTC, as it can, and likely will, spark rebound headaches. i can't sleep, so i switched from taking advil/tylenol pm to melatonin so that i don't get the pain reliever anymore. hope this info helps. i take a combo of imitrex & naproxen as my rescue med, bc it forms a better dose of treximet (and no ins comp covers treximet bc it can be easily formed with a RX of two meds). i haven't had any imitrex to take since the wknd before last, and i haven't needed it yet, so something must be working. typically when i don't have meds on me is when i def end up with a migraine. i've also taken zomig, relpax and maxalt. the relpax still works in a pinch, but the other 2 my body became immune to. *steps off of migraine podium* i HATE that i know so much about migraines. i really wish i didn't. i'd be happy if i knew nothing and didn't have this problem!

Boo to all the headaches, ladies!Heather...I hope the school systems down here don't start interviewing until August because school starts August 3rd, in less than a week!So I'm in the final days of knowing if I'll get anything. If I don't, there is a chance that I could get hired after August 17th due to the changes in school population. I'm only up for a 2 month sub job right now.Angela, that commute sucks. I'm so sorry. I had to drive an hour to my interview down some back country two lane road and I know the drive can be terrible! :(

FI has fixed the bed!  I had to go to work for a meeting and when I came home it was fixed!  There is a pile of tools aroudn the bed, and a lot of sawdust, but fixed non the less. Sara-Glad your dinner went well! Kwynn-good luck on interviews Migraine sufferers-so sorry about this.  There are meds you can take and like others have said, limit the caffine, chocolate, and cheese-I think beer too.  My brother and mother used to suffer from sever migraines but these tios have helped. Hope everyone has a great day!
