Places for ceremony

My fiance and I went and looked at The Madison today. If we book by next week they are knocking off $800 and all bar costs. We are trying to look at Spring Grove Cemetary. Anyone else have any ideas, we are not very religious, so no churches.

The Bell Event Centre.  It is located in old St. Paul's church so it gives that traditional setting for a wedding ceremony.  It is a very beautiful building.  You can also have your reception there.  I hear the food is out of this world!  http://www.belleventcentre.com/asp/index.asp

Thanks anyway Abbey. I only get the bar and $800 off if we hold a date by next Wed. that's why I need to find a place for the ceremony asap.

What about having it at the Madison? I know they have space for ceremonies.Depending on the time of the year you're getting married, you could have it outside at George Rogers Clark park in Covington (right on the river at corner of 2nd st and Riverside drive) or at Devou Park.

To have it at the Madison would be to only have it in the Grand Ballroom. The room seats like 500. The min on the room we want is $8000 and our dinners are going to be atleast $50 a person to meet the min. I don't want to know what the Gballroom costs.

I'm getting married in the Norman Chapel at Spring Grove. But they do have a gorgeous rose garden if you aren't interested in the church. When you say look at Spring Grove, do you mean for reception, ceremony?? Also, I have noticed that the prices at The Madison are really the best in Covington. My reception will be at the Embassy Suites there and The Madison had better prices than them when I last checked (we can't use The Madison, FI's brother is having his reception there in November)

How about one of the parks like Ault Park? You'd have to pay a rental fee and also rent chairs, I think. Or Krohn Conservatory. I don't know how many people it can accommodate and what the rates are, though. Doesn't the Madison have smaller rooms available for ceremonies? I think they're big enough to accommodate 150 guests seated in rows for ceremonies.

I did Spring Grove (norman chapel).  Our reception was in Newport.  I didn't hear a single complaint from guests.   There are areas with Hamilton County Parks, but the good thing about Spring Grove is backup for rain (if you were planning for outside).

Double check with the Madison again. We are getting married there and having our ceremony there. We are using the Loft for the ceremony (for a minimal charge) and the Galleria for the reception. In addition to the reasonable prices, the big draw for us was that we could have both the ceremony and reception at the same location, but not in the same room. Let me know if you want more info...

Update: If you are wanting Spring Grove, they just totally jacked up their prices. It's a great space!!! But it's nearly $1,000 for Saturday night. Just a thought. I agree with PP I'd check back with The Madison

Hi ladies! I am going down to the Madison today with my parents to show them the Grand Ballroom. We are looking at a Saturday afternoon on September 18 or October 16. Has anyone used a coupon from the Madison successfully? I have received a couple from them but they usually have too many restricitions.
