new to the boards,please help! DJ/Makeup person

Hi all, I'm getting married Jan 2, 2010 and was recommended a DJ named Biffe Libbe, ever heard of him?  I was wondering if any of you all had any reviews/comments about his Dj'ing? Also, I'm looking for a great, reasonably priced makeup artist who can do my makeup the day of.  Thanks!

    I wanted to say congrats and welcome! I don't know the DJ, but I can highly recommend Haute Faucade (sp?) for makeup and hair.

    I'm pretty sure the last girl on here that used Biffe did not have a good experience, although some have used him and said he was fine.

    I didn't have a DJ, but I've heard great things about Glenn Rousch (sp??) and Melodies and Memories. I'm sure more girls will pipe in! Mostly I just want to say welcome to the boards, and happy planning!!

    I'm pretty sure the last knottie who used him was really unhappy with him. I like Melodies and Memories for the DJ.  Ditto Manda.And ditto about Haute Facade. Though, their prices can a be a little steep.  At least that's my opinion.

    I found my DJ through The Knot.  Matt Poston.  $800 for unlimited time and he was good.

    I would not consider Haute Facade "reasonably priced."  Great yes, a bargain, no. Lindsay is using someone--Kristie Luv I think--that is supposed to be good.

    Yes ma'am, Stephie is right...Kristie Luv  www.kristieluvstyle.com she is VERY affordable and the last knottie that used her looked beautiful. As far as DJ's go, I've not heard good things about Biffe but I do recommend Robert Williams from Sounds Spectacular...I've also heard good things about Glen, he was just out of my budget.

    Yes, I plug Glenn Roush every chance I get--even though I haven't even had my wedding yet!  :)  We just really liked him.  I started on his planning forms for the wedding this week--they are sooo detailed.  He wants to know everything!  But I think that's a good sign.

    Yes, it was Keahloni (sp?) She is doing airbrush for me and my wedding party and the MOB/MOG for $50 each.  She will also do hair for each person for an additional $50 each.  Her travel fee is going to be $40.

    I am actually meeting with Kristie next week and she quoted me the same price but she also said she had a $300 min so keep that in mind. Maybe she doesn't do that with everyone. Not sure.

    Ditto stephie- I am using Glenn too in one month! Can't wait - he's awesome and I am ridicusly detailed fussy planner and he exceeds my expectations so far.

    I spoke with Kristie the other day and she mentioned the $300 minimum as well. But $100 for hair and makeup is by far the best price I have seen!  I would love to see pictures from a knottie that used her so if you are out there, show us your beautiful face and hair lady! :)  Stephanie, who are you using for hair/makeup?

    I am using Kristin Colaneri.  She did my makeup in my e-pics.  She has a 3-person minimum (makeup and hair) for a Saturday wedding which for her current pricing is $420.  That is what I am getting as I have 3 people so it was perfect.

    I have been to two weddings with Biff. The first time, eh, it was ok. The second time was BAD. I don't want to bash him, but if you want some more details, let me know.
