    That is a very good article. We looked at a few cheap wedding photographers and they did have some great work but were vague when I asked them about what kind of backup equipment they had and how many lenses they were going to take on our wedding day.

    Wow! Thanks for sharing! My sister keeps trying to get me to hire a college student to do my pictures to save money! But I am a HUGE picture freak and I am afraid of not getting good pictures! This article is going to make me put my foot down! Pro photog here I come!

    I was gonna add that it might not be so bad hiring someone in college who has shot a couple of weddings as an assistant as long as you can see the pictures they have done. But the article did talk about the importance of the extra camera so that is something to think about.

    hmmm that is true! But yes I would want to make sure they had back up equipment!

    I looked at a large variety of photographers and you can DEFINITELY see a difference with the "college kids" and the professionals. And with the ones that are just getting started in the business and only have a few years of experience compared to the photogs that have been shooting only weddings for years. Weddings are stressful and I would only want someone who has some years of experience under his/her belt to make sure my photos are going to be awesome!
