really kati? do you think everyone has the same taste and wants a diamond?No, and I respect that, and I'm sure it varies from area to area and circle to circle but it is just foreign to me. It just seems like this is becoming more common and I just don't get the fad. A lot of my friends wear rings with other types of stones even on their left ring finger but I would never assume they were engagement rings.

Kati- I guess i can kinda see what you are saying. In Britain sapphires are the common engagement stone. Most countries dont even have engagement rings. The diamond is a phenomena of USA making. I get what you are saying though about how a diamond ring in the states makes you think engaged.

I don't get why people prioritize an expensive photographer over other wedding expenses. When I got married last time, I looked at the pics maybe twice after the first year of marriage. (although maybe if it had been a better marriage...oh never mind)

I don't get the attitude from some holier-than-thou brides that if you DO decide to adhere to some tradition and you're not having your wedding for $200 under a tree in a park with a department store dress and other quirky "I'm so unique and hip it hurts" details, you're a brainwashed sheep.I also don't get how so many women on my club board have their entire weddings planned and booked already.

I get the point of how they sparkle ...I just think its a stupid idea. Vampires are suppose to die in the sunlight. So because she wrote the only series to make it different she is a genius? Uh no. I only saw the movie...bad acting and makeup too.

mirmar, I'm also wholly willing to admit that I have probably just fallen victim to advertising from the diamond industry :)I didn't know that about England, that is very cool. My mom's e ring actually had a sapphire center stone when I think about it but she rarely wore it so I guess I never got used to the concept.
