Alix(cant remember the rest of your screen name sorry)- I didnt know that. The last book I read about the history fo the diamond industry was called the heartless Stone. It brought light to the whole Debeers campaign from decades ago and how that influenced other people in other countries like Japan. I found it interestig that more people in Japan are now forgoing E rings for homes and vacations. sorry, didnt mean to turn this into a diamond discussion so,I dont get leather leggings or gladiator sandals.I dont get people who are overly religious.

I don't get weddings with 5+ speakers/toasts, I think two each is plenty (going to a wedding in August with 8 speakers, boooooooorrrrrrrrriiiiiiing)Also for said wedding, I don't get making your best man/ friends, do wedding errands in between your pics and dinner. Making them miss the first bit of dinner. (Very annoyed that I asked if she needed any help with the wedding, and now she is totally taking advantage)

You stand up, say I Do, and sign a piece of paper. You didn't come up with the concept.

Kati- I will admit that the pink e-ring does sort of limit my other jewelry choices. However, it's white gold and I usually wear my yellow gold college class ring on my right hand, so I am apparently comfortable with clashing!Mega ditto on Pnina Tornai. Who decided that a see through bodice was appropriate for a wedding? I also don't get the uber dropped waist dresses with poofy skirts. My mother refers to them as Home to Tara by way of the Plaza de Madrid. I mean, go for it if you're 9 feet tall, but I find them a bit ridiculous.

I don't get people who hire their amateur cousin with a very very basic camera for $500 and expect them to produce really amazing photos. (I know that there are exceptions, and some amateurs are amazing... but that's not always the case...)

I don't get people who think they can decide what's important for them must be important for every other person getting married. I too, do not get the concept of a bridal portrait. What do you do with the pictures? I don't get why on earth you would preserve your gown or your bouquet. I don't get people who think their wedding pictures won't be dated at some point. When you're 80 and wrinkly, people are going to get that those awesome wedding pictures weren't taken yesterday
