Hi and welcome to the boards! I am doing my ceremony and reception at the Anderson Center on Five Mile. It is very affordable. I am also doing my catering with Golden Rule who is one of their preferred vendors. I added all my costs up and am at $3008.30 for 150 guests. This includes my dress, DJ, Photographer, officiant, food and drinks, cake, decorations. The only thing this doesn't include is cheesecake, table linens and flowers.

I am having my reception at Ivy Hills Country Club (newtown/anderson area). They have many many options that you could work with for your budget. I am not promising that you could do it for under 8000 but it is worth a try. You could maybe do hor'dourves stations instead of a full meal. I think my reception with estimated 225 guest with the higher buffet option and a premium open bar came to around 13,800 (including chair covers and tax and gratuity). Judy is the coordinator there and is very easy to work with. I am sure you could play around with all the different options. I also looked at Royal Oak Country club (eastgate area). It was a little less expensive than ivy hills but i think both clubs are owned by the same person so things are pretty comparable (food and drink-wise). Other options are Receptions East (in eastgate), Anderson Park District (for an outdoor wedding), Riverstar reception hall: near Coney Island (havn't heard much about them but I live close by and I know they have events there) and also Moonlight Gardens at Coney Island (I went to a reception there once and it was very nice). Also obviously Anderson Town Center: PP

That is definitely possible! My budget is 10K for 200 ppl and so far, so good :)  Check out Tia Bierre Smith for flowers. 245-0086.  She does great work, is incredibly reasonable, and works with ANY budget. Our ceremony/reception are at the same place, 20th Century Theater, which saves loads of $$ on ceremony site, decor, music. We got a DJ for unlimited hours to play for both. Also check out A Spoon Fulla Sugar. We got cupcakes for $1.75 each. They are gourmet cupcakes, so def as good (or better) than a huge cake, IMO.

Our budget is no more than 9k and we're getting married at the museum center so far its around 8,500 and that includes caterer (they have their own its deco catering) The provide all linens and china. Also getting my flowers from krogers. I work in the floral dept there and we do some pretty awsome stuff.  But my flower budget is like 200 bucks since I'm making my own flowers.

I am on an extremely tight budget and love the intimate place we have chose for our ceremony and reception. Pattison Gazebo & Lodge in/near Owensville, off of U.S. Route 50.  It is a clermont county park.  You can use any vendor you want, no restrictions for food, so you can DIY if you wanted too.  The cost is reasonable $550 and is for both the ceremony and reception site. First 200 chairs are part of the price and you can rent extras if needed.  Although I went to another wedding there that tried to cram 200 people in and it was way crowded. It is worth the look!

Receptions East is worth a shot--their prices are VERY reasonable.  We're using Receptions South and paying about $35 per person (including tax/gratuity) for their best package, and that includes an open bar.  They have less expensive options as well.  The only thing we're providing is the cake. The only drawback, IMO, is that it's attached to the Biggs Plaza building, around the corner from Hobby Lobby, and that might not be upscale enough, depending on what you're looking for.I've heard the Holiday Inn at Eastgate does nice receptions, but I don't know anything about their price.
