Cookies?

I really should have been paying attention when more people posted cookie related posts but apparently I didn't... or if I did, I didn't save any of the information. Is anyone buying their cookies or are they having family members make them?  I'm really trying to find a place to just buy the 70 or so dozen we need instead of asking people.  Any suggestions/recommendations?

I know we talked baout htis before- but maybe we really could organize a knottie cookie donation. Whether that happens or not, I would love to make some cookies for you!  And you claimed to live close to my FMIL that one night (I still havent looked it up on a map...).  So just give me a day you need them and I will drop them off!  I can make freeze friendly ones if you want them early

ummm...so I dont know your email address.  do you know mine?  FI called to say that our sink is fixed! So once the smell leaves our kitchen- I can start baking some cookies for you! I make a mean butterscotch brownie- not really a cookie though... my sugar cookies are very freezer friendly- and I can make them in your colors! Also my Mom has a good recipe for Madelines, which are impressive cause they look like fancy cookies. am i getting a little too excited about this? lol- for the pirate wedding I made the brownies and they didnt even make it to the reception. (and I made like 5 dozen!) I was a little sad...yet kinda happy I guess.

marburs--pirate wedding? please tell me about this! (Pirata=pirate) If I had more than one rack in my stupid little apartment oven, I'd totally assist with the cookie drive.  I haven't even bothered with xmas cookies the past few years because it just takes so long with 1 rack.  Jenn, if you need any additional cookies, Enrico Biscotti in the Strip has awesome cookies in addition to the biscotti. Mostly traditional cookies--buckeyes, macaroons--but they also have these awesome orange/cream cheese filled ones that are amazing. Almost like a little croissant. If you are ever down that way, try one.

there was a post forever ago with a ton of pictures.  But yeah, I was a BM in a pirate themed wedding this past May.  Does anyone know how to link to that post? or even how to find it- it was quite a while ago...

That is awesome! I will try to look at your previous posts next time I am on my home computer (well laptop, no internet at home, grrrr).  I can link to the boards here at work but not profiles or most pics.  I will check it out this weekend probably. Sounds fun! And McBride, what are these cool whip cookies you speak of?

Yeah, Patty!  :)I'm not sure I've met your FI!  How long has he worked there?  I haven't been down in awhile, but I used to help out in HS and college.

Well he worked there years ago then moved away for quite some time. Moved back to Pgh almost 2 years ago and went back to work for Larry. He's there super early--bakes at 4:30am.  There will likely be lots of Enrico people at our wedding!  I also made a general blanket statement about Enrico's b/c I didn't want to sound vendor-y. OMG I will have to tell FI tonight that I "met" Adam's sis on TK!  Small world.  FI will in all likelihood bake most if not all of our wedding cookies himself. Jenn--sorry for the threadjack.

Aw, that is awesome!  Larry is the greatest!  I used to babysit for his kids!  (And now they are all grown...sniff, sniff!)My brother also worked there when he was in HS and has been there FT for almost 5 years now, I think.  He is just starting to take over managing things for Larry...I guess he wants to pursue the wine making more now.  It is funny because Adam is not overly excitable, but I could tell he was really thrilled.  :)And Adam made a lot of our wedding cookies and ALL of our favors, yum!

Sweet! We had considered using Joe as our photog too, but FI's dad & stepmom are doing ours. They did FI's brothers' photography and really wanted to do ours as our gift, so we agreed!

This is almost COMPLETELY unrelated... but my mom does the website for Enrico Biscotti... and she always does tons of bartering with her clients... (thats how I got my photographer and limo!!  she's the best....)

Jenn, I would have told you to contact my sister. She is starting out a business with cookies and cakes, and she is amazing!! But, she's have breast reconstruction right around the time of your wedding and wouldn't be able to do it (she had a double mast last year due to cancer). What about the cookie lady in Mars?

With your huge zuchinni (TWSS) you could make zuchini bread and freeze it, then cut it into slices.  It also makes good chocolate cake...not sure if you could do some kind of cake mix cookies with it.

I can't help make cookies because I'm out of state, but I did end up purchasing all my cookies from the Cookie Queen in Mars who Shannon also suggested. The info is in my old planning bio if you need it. They were great and very cheap!

Jen, I'm super late to this, but my mom got a bunch of our cookies from Oakmont Bakery.  Of course, everything from there is delicious!
