I have never been able to find a makeup that I love...I have tried all different stuff & just settle. I don't really wear a lot of makeup, just something on my face to cover up my dark circles & some red marks. I tend to have oily skin, but no acne for the most part. I would like something that gives good coverage, but looks natural.
I have looked at Bare Minerals, and I'm on the fence with that. A friend uses MAC & loves it.
What do you ladies use??
Re: Every day makeup recommendations go here
I dig Bare Minerals foundation.
Benefit boi-ing concealer is awesome, if you need a little more coverage Benefit's Erase Paste is good.
I'm a big fan of my new Covergirl lashblast fushion mascara.
Also, I tried this:

(specifically Blend) in stores, and was thoroughly blown away.
I have been look at MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation but also thinking about trying the Get Started kit from Bare Minerals.
I do wear Laura Mercier concealer as my main concealer (ie, I keep it in the makeup drawer and wear it EVERY DAY). it covers my dark circles really well. it rocks.

[QUOTE]MarriedinaFever and I have the same recs. I wear BareMinerals daily. I keep Boi-ing concealer in my purse. my CG LashBlast mascara is my fave. love my Smashbox primer, although I won't be buying it again (<strong>will instead buy Monistat Anti Chafing Gel for cheaper that is exactly the same thing</strong>). This is hilarious and genius!
Just call me "Brothel"
And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

I only just heard about it last week on Nest's F&B board. here: <a href="http://www.glamour.com/beauty/blogs/girls-in-the-beauty-department/2009/02/i-wore-monistat-on-my-face-las.html" target="_blank">http://www.glamour.com/beauty/blogs/girls-in-the-beauty-department/2009/02/i-wore-monistat-on-my-face-las.html</a>

Alright so forget about the kit....just get the foundation its self? Good recommendation!

I use that. Love it. The tube is about $8 and lasts months. I can't bring myself to buy the smashbox primer when the price difference is so so vast.
I use Neutrogena foundation and their mineral powder and really like it. Some days I skip the foundation and just use the powder. Covergirl mascara is my favorite.

[QUOTE]It's all about what works best for you. Try going to some makeup counters and experimenting, or order some stuff you think you might like off Sephora's website and then return what you don't want (they will accept opened items as returns as long as you have a receipt). I'm using one of the Mac cream foundations (Studio Tech, I think) and I somewhat like it but I think I'm going to go back to a liquid foundation after this because I'm finding it difficult to get the appropriate level of coverage at times. It's either like, WAY TOO MUCH MAKEUP or I can still see where my skintone is uneven. I use Mac studio sculpt concealer for under eyes and it's wonderful. I also use the Smashbox primer discussed upthread,<strong> and I use Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer when I wear eyeshadow. It's awesome! Your makeup does not even budge when you put eyeshadow primer on first.</strong> Plus you can wear the primer by itself to disguise uneven skin tone around your eyes (it's very lightly tinted).

Yes, the Urban Decay's primer for eyes is great. It keeps the eye shadow from creasing or smudging. I love it.
