Who clips coupons?

I was thinking about starting to get the Sunday PG for the purpose of clipping coupons - anyone do this?  Would it be worth it?  It's only $1.75/week, but not sure how much I'd get with coupons.I'd also like to use it for job searching as well - online searches haven't been doing anything for me.

I don't, but always mean to pick up a paper on Sundays for coupons.  I always find more than $1.75 worth of coupons which makes it worth it to me.

I clip them, but i don't get the paper to do it. I use coupons.com, and since I bake a lot, I signed up for Betty Crocker.com and Pillsbury.com.  Both have sections on their websites for coupons.I feel like I do reasonably well just with those sites.

I'm a closet coupon clipper! I buy the early edition on Saturday because it's cheaper.

I'm guessing you'll be disappointed with the job section. It won't have much more than you've already seen.I do clip coupons, though, and I use that grocery game thing to get the most out of them. And our store doubles coupons to $1, so that's even better. Personally, I'd say it's worth the $, at least it is for us so far, but it depends on what you buy.

I'm on coupons.com and Pillsbury, but I hardly ever seem to find any that I'd really use.  I don't know if it'd be the same for the PG or not.  I should probably go this Sunday and pick up one paper, then decide on a subscription.

I cut coupons out of the Sunday paper and definitely think it is worth it. I got a great deal on delivery, I get Fri, Sat & Sun papers for $1 a week. I really don't read it any day except Sun, but they wouldn't let me not get the other days.I print online coupons too and find that I really don't use them that much. Guess it depends what type of things you buy, but for me, the ones in the paper are a lot more useful.

For some reason, we get the coupon flyers in the mail.  The normal ones that my mom gets in the Tribune.  They come once a week bundled with the grocery store ads.I use them all the time.  Using only coupons from last weeks mail and only buying things I'd normally buy, I saved $6 on Sunday.

We do.  But we signed up for just the "weekend" papers here at a huge discount...it was actually one of DH's Christmas gifts to me, since I really like reading the paper on Saturdays/Sundays.  I would call the P-G and see if the rate can be negotiated...say you really want to try the paper and can they give it to you for a $1/week for 6 months or some trial basis.  It really depends on what you eat...we use them with snack food a lot and also like to try new products with coupons.

That would be a good idea to buy one and then decide on the subscription.  They probably will have good coupons in August and September for back to school.

That is why I get the Sunday paper is for coupons and ads.  Definitely worth the money.

I get them in the grocery ads as well. They started putting another coupon 'book' in there last week too, and i think it said it would be coming with the grocery ads from now on, and not in the paper. I don't get the paper so I don't know if there would be additional savings in it. I do think it's worth it though. I save $10 last week at the store.

Hey Erica, you might find this helpful...a database of coupons that have been offered, their expiration and where they came from.  There is a little abbreviation button that will tell you what insert is V, SS, etc.http://www.dealseekingmom.com/coupon-database/

Thanks KR - I'll check it out

Obviously we don't get the PG, but we get Sundays only of the Washington Post for a ridiculously low price. I never read it (though I should and I want to, just never make the time), but each week I normally have at least $5 worth in coupons. So I think it definitely pays for itself! We also get a coupon pack in with grocery ads and pizza coupons about once a week.

I love the Sunday paper for the ads, though I rarely actually cut out coupons.  Here in VA we get a whole bundle of grocery ads once a week - its nice receiving it without even having a newspaper subscription!

I use coupons on everything. If you register at couponmom there is a database that you can check to see if there are coupons for the items that your looking for. It gives you tips on how to keep track of the regular items you buy so that you know when to use your coupons. The database is super nice b/c it gives you the week the coupon was featured and what flyer. They also have coupons online that you can print if you want to start that route first.Best of luck--coupons will save you money for sure!

Ditto the others. We get the Sunday Philly Inquirer for the coupons and ads. We almost always make back the amount it costs us for delivery.

Hey there,  I live by and swear by coupons.  In fact I get my local paper delivered on Sundays only and then I go to the store and buy a PG for 2.00 (because we're out of area it's more)  totally worth it.  I always clip at LEAST 5.00 in coupons that I end up using...so worth it!

I clip them as well (I know I've said that a million times) I love when they send them in the mail.  DH goes through cereal like crazy and they always have cereal coupons.  Health and beauty coupons and condiments are probably the other big categories.  Sometimes on Mondays stores will leave out the coupon ads from the Sunday papers that didn't sell.  I never get to stores on Mondays but my mom usually picks me up an extra coupon section (I don't buy the PPG, but if it was my only hook up w/ coupons I would)!
