    Aw, thanks!  We will be getting married on July 17, 2010.  Our church is St. Boniface and our reception venue is the Duquesne Club!I'm so excited :)

    LOL, I was just about to e-mail you because I thought maybe I seemed to stalkerish to you! Aw, thanks!  We got married last July and are expecting our first in March!  :)  These lovely ladies let me stick around here still...and of course, I made lots of great friends on this board.

    Yep, that's the one!  One of the reasons I love it is that the inside reminds me of my mom's side of the family's Carpatho-Russian Orthodox Church :)

    I was going to say it's always reminded me of the Hagia Sophia!  We used to go to a haunted house they held inside the older church when I was really little.

    Thanks, LaFemme! :-) I sure did love my dress! lol I love the off-shoulder straps of it, plus it's a bit more formal with the fabric and the flare of the mermaid. If we'd had a more formal wedding, I totally would have gone with a dress more like that. Who's the designer? Is that "the" dress? So exciting!

    It reminds me of the Hagia Sophia too!  We just went to Istanbul for the first time last summer :)I love that mermaid look, but I haven't even tried on one dress yet and don't know how it will look on me.  This dress is Alvina Valenta and I definitely want to try it on!  I hope I can find one that I love as much as you love yours!

    I bet Istanbul was awesome (and now the song is stuck in my head lol)!  I think it would be so cool go go abroad, but sadly I never have.  Did you visit any other areas on that trip?

    Istanbul was one of my favorite places ever!  We travel a lot, and we took a two-month trip last August/September that covered Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Italy, Belgium and Hungary.

    We've been pretty lucky, and it was a wonderful trip.  FI is much more a history buff than me, though, so by the end of the trip and the thousandth site of Greco-Roman ruins, I was like, "They all look the same!"

    LOL!  Was his response "No, these are doric, the others were ionic" I'm like that on battlefields w/ all that flanking and whatnot going on, I can't get a visual of what was going on.  I just want to go back to my car and out of the hot sun!

    Haha, I'm the same way with battlefields!  He will go on and on about this or that battle from the Peloponnesian War or something and I'll just want to go to the art museums or the wineries.  So funny :)
