Yolanda's Closing Sale Reviews?

I have an appointment with them this weekend but it's at a very inconvenient time for me (it was the only appointment they had available when I called  2-3 weeks ago).    I was wondering if any of you brides had gone to the sale and if you could tell me what I can expect at the sale.  Were the discounts deep and were there still a lot of selections?  Would I go far with a ~$1500 budget for a bridal gown and were the gowns (I assume, are samples) in good conditions?  I don't want to miss a good sale, but if the sale is not so good, I might cancel the appointment as it's a bit inconvenient for me to get over there this Saturday.  TIA!

I went to Yolanda's last Friday. They did not show me anything in the way of sale items because the dresses that are on sale are all their samples, which they were running low on and they weren't in my size. So depending on what size you are and if you have some specific dress ideas in mind, you may find that you won't benefit from the sale. Having said that, I did end up buying my dress that day from Yolanda's. It wasn't on sale but it did fit within my budget. I would go anyway, it can't hurt. I had read some bad reviews, but went anyway with little to no expectations and it worked out great. I found my dress when I wasn't expecting to! Good luck!

I bought my sample dress there before they announced the closing so I don't know what the selection is like now or how nice the samples are. I didn't find any sample dresses in my size, but bought one anyway and had it taken in by a seamstress/alterations person. It turned out great!

I highly reccommend going - especially with that budget.  I went last Thursday and had a great experience.  I had the same budget and I was shown many dresses for under that (at the full price).  I ended up buying a dress in which I could have bought the sample for 40% off but since the full price was already under my budget I decided to order it.  As far as how the sale works - this is my understanding....the dresses that they have had the longest have the best discounts.  Newer dresses will still be discounted but not as much.  Veils are discounted as well.

I went last Thursday as well and found my dress. I was working with a similar budget and they had at least 7-8 dresses within that budget in the style i was looking for (mermaid/trumpet). Then the dress was discounted another 30% because it was a sample. I'm a street size 2 and the dress I picked happened to be pretty close to my size. Most of the others I tried on were quite a bit bigger. I think it's worth checking out. If you can request Darlene, I highly recommend her. Good luck!
