MOH Crisis...PLEASE HELP!

Okay girls, I need some help/advice.I had chosen a friend of mine to be my maid of honor but now regreting it cause we arent even that close...she was there when me && my FH met but we really arent best friends per say.I haven't told her but plan on telling her...but dont want to sound rude. I just dont want to look at my wedding album 10 years from now && know that I dont talk to her anymore. I have 3 sisters && having only them as bridesmaids, but havent decided on a maid of honor. What should I do? How do I tell her?

Have you already asked her to be your MOH? If so, you can't un-ask her. Sorry I am confused. It looks like you chose her, but haven't asked her.. is that right?

If you don't talk to her, how did she end up as your MOH? I think it's rude to ask someone to be that and then tell them nevermind unless you had an actual falling out. Just my opinion.

When he asked me to marry him, I told her && asked her to be the maid of honor... I already asked her but how can I un-ask her?I know its confusing, im sorry... I just dont want to continue her thinking that I still want her as my maid of honor.

You can't unask her.  It's extremely rude.  You made this decision.  If you've already asked her to be your MOH and she's accepted, there's really nothing you can do.  Unless you want to end the friendship entirely.  If that's the case, then do what you want.

yeah I agree, I am not sure that you can unask someone. What you could do is just have everyone be bridesmaids and not have her as your MOH.  You can just say that feelings were hurt so everyone is a BM.  That way she won't be the one standing next to you while you are getting married? but if you do want to end the friendship, this is a clear and easy way to do it for sure.

It's never okay to use the ampersand symbol twice in a row. && = and and& = andUnless you speak that way, then just go ahead and type the words and and so that we know that that's really what you mean.

I may just have everyone as bridesmaids. Its best. Dont really want to end friendship like that [for that particular reason] && dont want to hurt anyones feelings either. Thanks

I just type that way && everyone I know has started using it that way also...It doesnt necessarily mean [and and], its just using the symbol twice.=).

    && And it's done again.
  • edited December 2011
Do you just like the && looks?  I mean, what's the point? I'm just curious.
  • edited December 2011
Oooweee, that's going to drive me crazy. I keep reading it as "and and", I can't help it. No biggie though, I drive people crazy with my occasional disregard for capitalization.

No, Mariah. We are not cool nor are we hip. We are married. We can't go out without our husbands, we can't drink too much, we should really just be nursing babies and cooking dinner...

OMG I just read this and I'm sad I missed it happening. I'm sorry but && is more ridiculous than just about anything I've seen on here. I would make fun of my friends to their faces for that.

I only read the first couple of posts and didn't make it all the way through the great double "&" of the day.  Sometimes, I think I spend too much time here when I read some of the dumbness (I'm trying to be nice) that goes on here.

Mariah that is DISGUSTING!! PMGO indeed! I so saw a post where instead of ..... the poster used ,,,,, I couldn't get through the whole thing lolI tick people off all teh time with my lack of capitalization and my lol's and let me tell you.....&& is worse >:)It reminds me of a child trying to tell you a story and they are so excited that they say 'and' like 7 times in a row LOL! That's how I was reading the posts. Like a child trying to tell a storyOh and to answer you question, no you can not unask anyone to be a BM or MoH. It is extremely rude and definitely a potential friendship ender. You're stuck.
  • edited December 2011
This is hardly a "crisis" You chose her, you can't un-choose her, unless you are willing to end the friendship completely. AND I agree that && is rediculous. Isn't typing out the word easier? I don't see the point.
