Just got off the phone with EB, who was actually extraordinarily nice. BUT--she wants me to draft my own departure announcement for her to send out! Um, seriously?! GB already told me he'd take care of that next week, and I know he'll do a fabulous, very complimentary job of it--he doesn't need me to write a draft for him, so why do you?! I know you like to talk about how busy you are, but for reals, you can spend 10 minutes thinking of and writing nice things about me!Think this may be one of those tasks I "don't get to" right away--then I can tell GB about it when he's back in the office on Monday, and he can absolve me of this responsibility. =)

    I can *totally* see why you were so anxious to find another job and get out of that working environment.EB sounds like a real whackjob.

    You should totally write it and put amazing things about yourself and your new job and minor hints about how lovely it will be to not have to work with EB again!  That would be so hilarious!!!

    She's big on having people draft stuff for her. Normally I don't mind, because it gets things done faster (if we wait for her to write something herself, it takes forevvvvvvvver)--but I have no interest in writing this one. If you need me to confirm facts, like when I started and where I'm going, I'm happy to do that so that you can incorporate them into what you've written. But write a draft? No thanks--I'm pretty sure my time is better spent leaving all of my files in order!

    Wow - but, I am so on board with Sara's idea. And, I can't stop smiling at WTF-ie (but in my head it is WTF*cky and making me chuckle).

    Sara, I feel like we should have some kind of Knot contest or something--who can draft the best version of what I should send to EB. =)  (Like how I'm following EB's lead and trying to dump my work onto someone else?!)
