Colored Greek Orthodox Crowns

Hello everyone!I saw that there were a few posts on this board about the Greek Orthodox Crowns, but I had another question. I create jewelry and wanted to create my own Stefana. Is there a taboo about having colored gems or crystals on the Stefana? The wedding colors are red, black and white, so I wanted to use red and white crystals, but instead of a white satin ribbon connecting them, I wanted to use a red ribbon. Does anyone think that is too tacky or a bad idea? Any info or comments are welcome!

Re: Colored Greek Orthodox Crowns

  • There are Greek Orthodox ladies who regularly visited this board, but I think there's actually a Greek Weddings board now--so you might get more responses there.  Sorry I can't help.

  • Not that I'm aware of.  Mine are ivory but I've seen them done with different color accents.  You might want to check out www.orthodoxweddingcrowns.comShe has a lot of different styles and colors, some really modern alternatives- it might make you feel in good company with colored crowns.
