Did I screw up?

A friend of mine got divorced last summer and is now dating a new guy who has two children from a previous relationship (8 and 10 I believe) who he does not have full custody of. I have never met these children and had only met the BF once, briefly, by the time my wedding invites went out. My friend and her BF were both invited and attended my wedding. I actually totally forgot he HAD children at all until today when my friend posted pics of their 'family' vacation on facebook. Then I realized I didn't invite the kids. Oops. We did have kids at our wedding but I honestly totally forgot he had kids. Should I have invited them? I know I can't change things now but it bugs me thinking they might have been irked that I didn't include them. Am I worrying for nothing? I feel like an azzhole.

    No I think it's ok. It's not like they are married and she is the stepmom.

    You're going to etiquette hell and get to stand with a 1957 E Post book on your head until it is better.  You didn't know him well enough to remember the details and they are just dating, relax, have some boxed wine with fishsticks.

    One of H's GM has two young kids, and H also has a niece and nephew. So we had 4 kids total.

    I wouldn't worry about it, if he doesn't have full custody he may not have had the kids that night anyway. He and your friend probably welcomed a night out by themselves, especially if they have just started dating.

    So, you had a bridal party member's kids and family kids.  That's a completely normal line to draw (and what we did).  I would stop feeling bad!
