Good Morning! TGIF!Up way too early today to drop E off at the airport. He's flying to New Orleans for his Bachelor Party Weekend.BTW-- The commute from the airport area to the city at 7am is not fun!I will be all alone, bored, and wallowing in junk food all weekend!

Ditto op - work fly by. I want out already and I just got here! It's my birthday weekend, which I'm not excited about turning another year older. We're going to a huge arts festival on Sat and then we have Phillies tickets for both Sat night and Sun afternoon. It's going to be busy, but hopefully relaxing in its own way.

Good morning! This week has flown by for me. DH and I are going to check on an apartment after work today, then hopefully get some packing done this weekend. We're still deciding on the Gateway Clipper cruise. It's supposed to be a weekend of nice weather, yay!

OMG I am d.e.a.d today! But it's the work picnic, so I'm only here until about noon, then it's off to kennywood (where I might just find a pavillion and conk out somewhere). I've been playing salesman/host/tour guide/meal ticket to some clients that came into town since Tuesday, and I am SO happy they've gone home, lol. Now I can crash and let my brain melt down to mush like I've wanted to do all week

TGIF!! So glad it's Friday. Can't wait til 4:00 finally rolls around.Going to see Into the Woods tomorrow at the Benedum - supposed to be pretty good. Other than that just plans to hang with some friends this weekend. Weather should be great!

Good Morning ladies and TGIF! It will probably be pretty quiet on my floor for a few days due to a huge conference many people are attending. But it may be busy phone-wise today- blah. Only real plans this weekend are getting our own cell phone plan (I confess, I'm still on my family's share plan, and my parents have been paying for my phone still....do I sound like a spoiled only child yet? :-P) By chance, does anyone know if my # would have to change? I have a 724 #, and my uncle says it may have to change due to being in a different area. I hope not- it would suck b/c I use it as a contact for SO many things. :-/ Happy B-day Shannon!! Kim, your number shouldn't have to change, and actually, if you're in the middle of a contract and transfer your line, everything stays the same. We were just asking about this at the verizon store because FI and I are both on our family's family share plan.

Kim - I still have my 571 area code in Pittsburgh, lol! If you're currently under your parent's family plan, when you go to set up your own plan, your cell provider will have to call the 'rents for permission to "release" the number from their account, then it's all yours!

Oh, that's good! My parents are actually at the end of the 2 yr. contract, but I doubt that will make a difference.

Kim, I was able to transfer from my parents' plan to our own family plan without switching my number. We have Verizon. I believe it did up our contract for two years from that date. HTH!

We were told at the store that it wouldn't renew our contract. If we were one year in, it would stay that way when we transfer the line to our own account.

Good morning! I'm working from home today (woohoo!) and taking a little break at 10 to head to the DMV for the 4th time...ugh!Happy birthday, Shannon!Kim - I'm still on my parents plan, too. I have a personal blackberry curve and a work blackberry curve, so I'm getting rid of my personal and jumping on DH's plan with a normal phone. I'm going from AT&T (a 412 line) to DH's Sprint plan which was set up in Indiana (where he's from). I don't think there will be an issue with keeping my 412 number!

Sonya, it might have been time to renew his contract anyway, now that I think about it. We did this a few days before the wedding and my mind was not focused on cell phone plans, haha!

Kim, there should be absolutely no problem with keeping your number. 1) I am on my parents plan, out of Pgh, with a 267 number (Philly). We've already asked how difficult it would be to switch onto John's plan, and my parents just have to release the number (happening Sept 1). 2) When John moved in with me in New Jersey, and switched over to Sprint, he was able to keep his 215 (Philly) even though his new billing was New Jersey (856). Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone!

Is it bad that my mom is on MY phone plan?

I don't think I'll ever get rid of her! We added her quickly when my grandma became ill suddenly and it's been 5 years now.
