Macy's Bridal Registry?

FI and I would like to register for gifts at another store and were thinking of Macy's.  Has anyone registered here?  What was your experience? Also, at which store did you register?  I would like to go to one of the larger stores so I can see more of the merchandise in person.  The Macy's by me is very small.

We registered at Macy's and Bed Bath and Beyond.  We registered at the Macy's in Garden State Mall but I added stuff online.  I was really happy with them originally and liked the rewards program, but they were not super helpful when it came to returns.  At BBB I could return anything purchased from my registry and get cash back (unless they purchased with a gift card in which case I got a gift card) but at Macy's you could only get store credit.  Overall, they were fine, but I had a better experience with BBB.

i registered at macys.  i thought it was a prettty positive experience.  they have a rewards program and i think we ended up with a $500.00 gift card after all was said and done which was lovely.  We went to the 34th street / herald square location and they had a huge selection which was nice.  they also gave me a piece of high quality luggage for free (this was almost 2 years ago now so they are most likely not running this promo any longer, but you never know they might be running a different one).  We spent an afternoon in the store and added things online later.  one thing that annoyed me about them is that they use those styrofoam peanut packaging and it gets everywhere!  also, the prices on their website are different than in store at times.

We registered at Macy's in White Plains (Galleria) and then added many items online.  A lot of things people bought off of that registry were shipped to us and they were meticulous about packing things well - everything arrived in pristine condition.  We have had no issues at all with returns and it was nice to get the Star Rewards gift card after the wedding...over $90 (which we need to use soon!).BB&B in Elmsford was also wonderful to work with.

We were registered at Macy*s and it was an amazing experience. We did the star rewards program and it was well worth it- we got a gift card for almost $500 after the wedding- it got us our dyson vacuum! On top of that, they ask guests for their names when they purchase their gifts, and they provide you with the list so if you have a gift with a missing card, you can try and race it through there. After the wedding we moved. We hadn't opened some of the gifts yet, and a year and a half later when we opened our crystal, there were broken glasses. I brought them in, and they replaced them, no questions asked. They also sent us 2 pieces of our china and a few reward of our pots from our caphalon set.We registered in Danbury CT, and they were all so amazing. They even sent us a card signed by everyone:) Oh- and I still get 5% off of home store purchases:) It was great!

We .... or should I say I ;) ... registered at Macy's in the Danbury Mall in CT.  I had a very positive experience...I was there about 2 or 3 hours but took my time through lots of departments...everyone was so helpful and answered any ?s I had.  I was lucky as not many people were registering and/or buying off the registry so they all helped when i came back. The plates I got only had the place setting on the floor...the lady, who i think was the manager, looked up the rest of what they offered and went through each one asking if i wanted it and recommending how many to register for.  And, I went and got myself some lunch, noticed i got the last two pages from someone else's registry, went back, they all were joking that i came back to register for more i had so much fun...and reprinted it.  I later added/deleted stuff online.   I also registered at BBB too.

I loved registering at Macys and have had no issues whatsoever. I went to the Macys at the Palisades Mall because they had the best selection that I knew of. HTH!

I registered at Macy's. First, we went to the Palisades Center mall, and I was VERY displeased with that Macy's. The service. The inventory. The clutter. So we decided to go to Herald Square, and we were much happier there because it feels much more upscale. Sure, it's a big store. But most of the registry stuff is contained to just a couple of floors, so it really wasn't a big hassle. It was worth the trip down there.

I registered at the Macy's in Nanuet and then added stuff at the Macy's in Smithtown (where I live now).  No problems so far - and I am looking forward to the rewards points!
