Wedding Locations in Fairfield?

Anyone been to or planning a wedding or reception at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park or Courtyard by Marriott-Hamilton?  These are some venues that are on my short list due to budget, but haven't seen any pictures of weddings there.  Any help is appreciated! Thanks, Mary

I went to a wedding there about 2 years ago, maybe 3.  It felt like the room was way too small for as many people that were in there, but I can't really blame the venue.  It was probably more the bride and groom's fault.  The food was okay, nothing special.  The building was nice, but just didn't give a good feel for a wedding.  It def needed to be decorated.  Have you looked into Receptions in Fairfield at all?  Most of the girls on here have had good luck talking them down (most of the Reception places in general, I think) and negotiating on certain things.  It might be worth a shot.  GL!

I would also say to check into Receptions at Fairfield. I am not using them b/c I am north of Dayton, but I have received info from them & they seem very reasonably priced. I think if you book by the end of August they have a bar deal going on that was pretty good. The pics of the venue that are online look nice too. GL!

Have you checked out Tori's Station in Fairfield? They have NUMEROUS menu options for a variety of budgets. The actual rooms are very nice and the man in charge seems very knowledgeable and eager to meet any demand. Good luck!

Try Oscars! They recently lowered prices and are very reasonable. The lady there is super nice and willing to work with your budget (bargin). It is very pretty.

Thanks for the tips.  I went and looked at the Arts Center today...the Art Gallery was fairly small.  They say it fits 85 but it would definitely be a tight fit.  The Community Room seems great for a reception though.  The price tag can't really be beat and they seem to partner with some reasonably priced caterers.  We are most likely looking at a guest list between 75-100 so I didn't want to get a venue that was too overwhelming for that size.I will definitely check into the other locations you mentioned!  Thanks!Mary

Which venue did you get married at?  Beach House, Kaylas Corner, et?  Did you to the ceremony and reception there?  Can you share with me a general idea of what you paid for the facility?I had looked at them briefly....

I used Kaylas Korner and was married there as well in the outdoor gazebo. It was perfect for the size of my my wedding (it holds up to 250) I believe we paid $3000 to rent the facility for the day plus an extra $500 to have our ceremony there. We were able to get inside on FRIDAY (my wedding was saturday) to set all the tables, bar, everything. We also set out all the ceremony chairs. This helped us tremendously and I'm not sure we could have gotten it all done if there would have been another wedding that night that would have prevented us from setting up a day early. I absolutely loved the space. It was a lot of work only because each vendor is separate and you have to keep track of everything, but it was well worth it because I saved so much money this way(we could buy our own alcohol and it was SO cheap), and was able to spend it on other things. Lyndsay will recommend L&H Company for linen, silverware, plates, cups, etc rentals and I thought they were great. Our caterer offered plates and silverware but they were plastic and we opted to rent real dishes instead (totally not necessary but it was nice). L&H delivered everything for FREE! If you end up choosing them and want to see pics of how we decorated let me know!
