Re: homeowners poll

• LOL at the man cave reference. We call ours the "Man Lair" ... upstairs has lovingly now been called "Vagine Valley" (pronounced vasheeeeen)

• 1) 1700 sq feet 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom 2)$2100 a year 3)Well we are building new, so I wouldn't change anything since we picked out everything. I guess I'd have to say the basement since it will be unfinished.
• Salty, I don't even bother going down there unless we're having a movie night. I've already invaded the whole 1st floor, so I thought it was fair he had that space to himself, lol.Complete with stadium seating and he's trying to upgrade.
• 1) What is the size of your home? 2170 sq ft (4 bed, 2.2 bath)2) What are your property taxes (before tax rebates)? I honestly don't remember.. around $4000 I think.3) What would you update first...kitchen or basement rec room (not for resale purposes...for your own comfort/living)? Kitchen.. we don't use the basement right now.
• Buttafly - that's an awesome man cave! FI's really does look like a man cave right now. It's a full bar, in the basement with only two small windows. A lot of dark wood and dark ceremaic tile. It will be awesome when we get it done and lighted properly, I hope, but right now, it's definitely earning it's name.

• 1) 2000 sq ft - 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms2) Property taxes are 1700, school taxes are 3200.3) Rec room because our kitchen isn't bad. It has new appliances, I just don't like the counters or cabinets. The basement is finished but needs to be turned into usable space still.

• 1) What is the size of your home? 2000 sq ft. 2) What are your property taxes (before tax rebates)? $1,700 according to our 2008 tax return 3) What would you update first...kitchen or basement rec room (not for resale purposes...for your own comfort/living)? probably kitchen. We don't need the extra space in our basement, we just use it for storage.
• Thanks, Vogt. We don't have a full bar like you, just a little bar =)Sorry to threadjack.
• Sorry for the threadjack also (and for spelling your name wrong!) We don't have nearly the entertainment options you do though. I hope someday we'll get a flat screen down there, but for the time being, the entire room is a shrine to alcohol :)

• 1) What is the size of your home? 2 bd, 1 bth cottage from 1928.2) What are your property taxes (before tax rebates)? Dunno. That's FI's department3) What would you update first...kitchen or basement rec room (not for resale purposes...for your own comfort/living)? We just updated our bathroom that hadn't been reno'd since about 1985. Wowsa. Next would be the kitchen. But, that would be a lot more money than we want to part with at the moment. Also... we don't really live there except for a couple of months out of the year so... can't really see us doing anything to that unless that changes.
• 1. 2000 square feet, 4 bedroom 2. I think about $4000. They are escrowed and I am too lazy to look it up. 3. We don't have basements in Vegas. I am really picky about kitchens, so I say kitchen. I LOVE my kitchen though. Cherry cabinets, granite countertops and stainless appliances. Big island in the middle.
