Honeymoon in quebec or eastern canada

Hi Knotties!
My fiance and I are looking to stay close to home and spend our honeymoon somehwhere in the province of Quebec or in eastern Canada. We would like a quiet location it doesn't have to have a milion things included. Just a room and a nice view. Maybe somewhere near water. We would like our total honneymoon to be about2-3 weeks but we don't have to stay in the same place.  Do you have any suggestions for someplace that is not too expensive?

  • I would look into renting a vacation home on the east coast, i have no idea where but i know they have them.

Quebec will be busier & is great if you wanna sightsee, since you want quieter with water the east coast would be perfect.

Something like this, google which province you want to stay in & add vacation rentals to it, then take a look at the places, some beautiful ones out there.

  • As long as it's in late June - early August, I would suggest you go to Newfoundland!  It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen :)  Most people flock to the east coast of Newfoundland, but if you would like your privacy and to be surrounded by nature, I would suggest the west coast of the province. 0 staying in/around Gros Morne Park. Visiting Twillingate and L'Anse Aux Meadows would definitely be highlights to see as well, and are within a few hours drive of Gros Morne.   In the northern part of Gros Morne there is a beautiful boat trip that you can take through fjords and right across the street there is a white sandy beach (although it's a bit of a hike from the parking lot).

If it's something that you're at all interested in, you can send me a private message and I can give you a lot more details.

  • If you go to Quebec City, I'd recommend splitting your time on the island of Orleans (20 minutes outside the city).  There is a fabulous B&B (Dans Les Bras de Morphee) in a gorgeous farmhouse.  The owner is a former chef and prepares the most fabulous meals.  Also, since it's an island, obviously lots of water :-)

For a romantic and scenic stay with great food, and lots of ocean-side sights, I'd also recommend Cape Breton Island/Nova Scotia.

    Good luck!
