I actually JUST received our official marriage license in the mail today.... so Wednesday I took the day off & I'm going to change my last name. In other words, I'm taking his last name. lol... I've never thought otherwise. I always knew I'd take my husband's last name. But I totally can see the other side too

well my last name is not common or used at all my last name is Juanes and my fiance is Diaz so i'm keeping my last name and adding the Diaz Vanessa Juanes-Diaz cant wait for that to happen

ughhh my last name is looong - always mispronounced and misspelled - im changing it in 2 MONTHS !! YAY !! but honestly you girls all have good points

I'm changing it and I can't wait! My last name is Smith so I've always known I would change it, and I'm pretty traditional about this part of marriage.

I'm taking his last name. I am dropping my middle name and keeping my maiden name as my middle name, mostly because I have had a professional career under that name and because I don't care for my middle name. I am traditional in that way though and it was always my dream to move up in the alphabet. I am an R now and he is a C!!! YAY! Plus, his name is way shorter than my last name. He did have a little cow when I said I was moving my last name to my middle name, but then he got over it.
