  You get your DL changed first. I think for SS you will need your DL and marriage license. We just got ours back so I will be doing this soon.

  i did SS first. they only wanted my marriage license.then i did DL and they only wanted my marriage license.neither place asked for any info from the other place.

  Do SS first, they asked for my maiden name DL to prove who i was, and my marriage license
