New Kennywood Coaster

Anyone see this?  Supposed to be up next year. :)[url]http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/s_637932.html[/url] It looks great!  But I'll be really sad if they decide not to put the Turnpike back in - it's a tradition for us to ride it last ride of the night.  Used to do this with my grandfather when he was alive.

    Oooh!  Sounds fun!Also, don't expect the cozy comfort of old-school harnesses and roll bars. The two trains, which carry six riders each, will feature open cars in order to heighten the experience.

    KR - that part kinda scares me.  :p  I'm such a baby about these kind of things. I force myself to go on them, because typically I really like them once it's started.  But I really have to psyche myself up to get one. :p

    I hate the harnesses when your head bangs all around!  The openness scares me and excites me!

    Hmm...cool, as long as they find room for the Turnpike. I hope they don't put it into "storage" for very long. I guess Kennywood is just trying to keep things fresh and keep up with other parks, but it is known for its tradition/history. Taking the Turnpike away would take away from the park, IMO.

    Wow, it sounds fun and scary!  Agreed with PP, it does sound like that one at Cedar Point- the Dragster, maybe?I too would miss the Turnpike if they get rid of it permanently!

    I just watched the video! That looks FUN!however, I agree the turnpike is just a kennywood tradition/staple...maybe they'll find room for it somewhere in 'lost kennywood'
