Please, someone, virtually slap me

I'm getting the urge to go try on dresses again. I need you ladies to tell me how absolutely ridiculous I'm being. I think I may need to start doing alterations now, even though the seamstress said we didn't need to start until September, just to keep my inner dress monster quiet.

Whack! Smack! Crack! You need to ask yourself the following questions as you attempt to keep your inner dress monster at bay:Are you totally loving your current dress? Can you afford to purchase another dress?Good luck.I had the same thoughts about my MOB gown.I looked online but there's as far as I went.  And I started my alterations, so there's no turning back.

Are you totally loving your current dress? No. I usually hate it about once a month. ;) I've made sure that week doesn't correspond with the wedding or it could be catastrophic. Can you afford to purchase another dress? Most definitely not. And even if I did, I still couldn't justify it. I bought my dress vintage off eBay because I just can't stomach the thought of spending thousands on a dress (despite the dresses being totally gorgeous).

Get ahold of yourself woman! ;-)  Did that work?  I'm not good at the whole "bad cop" thing lol.Can you try on pretty cocktail dresses for your honeymoon?  Or swimsuits, they're probably a great deal right now!

I am going to go with the other side of this because I feel like you really are unhappy with your dress.  I know it's not the first time we've heard that you're unhappy.  Can you look at some moderately priced dresses?  You're pretty small, you could probably buy right off the rack at MB Bride or even find dresses at JCrew, Macy's, or Nordstrom!

What is it you don't like about the dress? The fit? Style? What made you buy it in the first place, other than the price? I agree with Stacey - If you're really unhappy with the dress, then see if you can make it work to get a new one. What if you find something new and sell the first one? If there's no way that's going to work, maybe you can shop for accessories or shoes or like PP said, dresses for your honeymoon (or shower or rehearsal). Good Luck!!

If you didn't spend a lot on your first dress, I say get another dress and be happy with it. If you spent a lot on your first dress, SLAP! I SO regret getting a 2nd dress and now can not sell it to save my life. And it cost more than my first dress. So, if you need it:
