I love certain elements of both, but my pick is Dress #1.

Thanks for all your help ladies! **AngelaN611** The first one is a Paloma Blanca - I love her stuff!The second one is a Sottero and Midgely that was new this season but is being discontinued. What I love about the Paloma Blanca is everything; the fabric the style, the lace, the ability to wear a mantilla veil, the buttons! I have been thinking about it for months since I saw it in a magazine. The Sottero & Midgely is the only beaded dress I have really liked. It is so different especially the bottom of it with the fluted lace and the light gold color is nice and warm on my skin tone. I also really like the corset because it sucks me in

And I know Maggie is known for the corset but I haven't liked the detail on the other Maggie's I've tried all - though they're all flattering. I just don't feel ready to rush and buy it because it's discontinued when I don't know it's THE ONE. (Although buying the sample Maggie is 1/4 of the price of the Paloma Blanca!)

Well I'm biased because #1 is my dress too, but I still think it looks best on you. I don't like the corset look of #2, it just makes me think of lingerie or the Moulin Rouge. You look fabulous in both so it's not like you can really go wrong here.

You know, I really like #2 better. It's unique and pretty, and I like all the details. Dress #1 is also pretty, but to me it's kind of like any other wedding dress. Hope that helps!

look at your face in each of the pictures. your smile is bigger in #2, you just look more excited about it. plus, personally, i think it's very different and very beautiful

The back on #2 is gorgeous, but my FIRST reaction upon looking at it was "it looks like a doilie." I dont mean that to be mean, really!!!! But that was my reaction. The first one, I think, looks amazing on you.

Lindze, They both look great on you but I prefer #1 (Paloma Blanca). Which bridal store did you find them? I am a bay area bride too, and have been to a few places. I found two dresses which are both very different from each other....still deciding and still looking!

Roselyn81 I found the Paloma at Elegant Lace in San Jose and the Sottero & Midgely at Bay Area Bridal in Cupertino (but BAB has the Paloma there too). I had great experiences at both those places. EL has TONS of gowns and BAB's owner Sandy is so great! I also went to Trudys in Campbell, Gabrielles in Los Gatos (now also in Campbell) and DB in San Jose. What places have you been to?

Lindze, I have been to Trudy's, and in SF I have been to Bridal Galleria and Marina Morrison. Both good experiences, esp at MM. I found the Amsale at MM and the Lazaro at Galleria. I am planning to try Bridal Image in SF next

This is the most fun part, isn't it??
