**Candice/maybe TTW spoilers?**

I just realized that I never talked about The Time Traveler's Wife - we saw it on Wednesday.  I thought it was so so good!  Many parts were funny...and of course, sad too.  It was a 3 tissue movie for me.  Did you read the book?  Some parts of the movie were not explained as well in the movie IMO, and some things were left out.  But actually a few of my least favorite parts were left out, which I was kinda happy to see.  My DH didn't love it, but he said it was tolerable and had an interesting story.

I finished the book a few days ago.  I'm dying to know- how did the movie end?  Was it the same as the book?  And what parts did they leave out? Did he still loose his feet? Still die at 43?

I haven't read the book yet, but the previews on TV looked too good for me to wait any long to see it!  I'm glad you liked it.  I'm really looking forward to going tonight.

OKAY, lots of spoilers now...I finished the book a few days ago. I'm dying to know- how did the movie end? Was it the same as the book? I read the book in 2006, so I remember how it ended but not as much as you, haha!  The part where he gets trapped in the library staircase (that's toward the end of his life, right?) was not there.  He still gets hypothermia and is in a wheelchair and it is during the NYE party.  :(  I love the part when Clare asks if it is happening now and Henry tells her yes and Clare says - why did you let me invite all of these people over?  And Henry says - so you wouldn't be alone.  And what parts did they leave out?Clare never sleeps with Gomez.  The very strange scene in the book where he visits himself as a teenager (I think the time traveling Henry is only a few years older) and his dad walks in on him doing something (?) is missing.  The very last scene when he visits Clare and Alba again is quite beautiful.

SUPER SPOILER.  KR ONLY!!yeah- the teenage part is weird. So I'm guessing Clare's brother still shoots him? ugh- that part killed me and in the book Alba wasn't there in the end when he visited Clare the last time. Does Clare die after that? And in the book it made it seem like it was miserable for her since she had to wear the same thing and do the same thing every single day because she didnt want to miss out on him meeting her when she was old (like in thenote he read her). is it like this in the movie? or is it happier?Thank-you so much for the inside scoop!

So I'm guessing Clare's brother still shoots him? ugh- that part killed meIt is her father in the movie, I think.  Well, two men are out and one is her father, so that is how it appeared to me.  I forgot it was her bro in the book.  and in the book Alba wasn't there in the end when he visited Clare the last time. Does Clare die after that? ok good. I figured they had to change that. In the book she never sees him after he dies. Although Alba visits him a lot. But she grows old and sees him once when she's really old. He hugs her and then thats the end. Its so sad though- I cried so hard. I'm pathetic- I cry just watching the trailors on tv. Thank-you for the info! I really want to see it, but I didnt want to go if it ended like the book did- I was in a stupor for days because of that ending

I'm back from watching the movie!  I liked the end, though Andy thought it was heartbreaking.  We don't know how many times he ends up visiting her in the future.  When he tells her he doesn't want her to wait for him, but we all know she will,  ah that is so sad.I enjoyed the movie, the time went super fast and I didn't even think about falling asleep, which are good indicators for me.  :)
