wow i came to the boards to get ideas, help, support nobody seems to be discussing on here like others.  mmmmm wonder why

    There never seems to be much traffic on the Tahoe board.  I'm sure plenty of people are getting married there but maybe just not as many?  Are you getting married in Tahoe?  And congrats on the engagement!

    im hoping too. we live in the bay area so i was looking for assistance with stuff. especially bouncing ideas off of brides who have visited sites and such. :( ooo well.

    I can answer questions about places on the north side of the lake . . . we looked at a ton of venues.  We also checked out some on the west shore.  We ended up going with an estate on the north shore but I can answer any questions about vendors in that area . . . always willing to help!

    We're getting married in Tahoe too... Its such an awesome place and compared to the Bay the prices are right! Since we're having an October Wedding the vendors are willing to negotiate a little.  We also looked a few places, but I called a bunch.  In the end The Chateau at Incline Village fit us perfectly... they have been so easy to work with the entire time.

    Now I'm looking for a florist.

    RGuletz - The Chateau is nice and should work great for you!!  Try Karan at Tahoe Flower Power.  Her storefront is in Truckee but she delivers, of course.  She was recommended to me by our DOC.  I met with her a couple weeks ago, along with my mom and FMIL & some other ladies in my "entourage" - they all loved her.  Doesn't hurt that her prices are really reasonable too! 

    Anything else you're looking for?

    I'm trying to find a good salon for mani-pedis for 5-7 girls on the morning of the Friday before the wedding.  I don't want a strip-mall type place - more a spa-type place.  BUT, I would love if the prices weren't outrageous (because I think $80 for a pedicure is RIDIC).  Suggestions?

    I have seen beautiful pictures from Edgewood Golf Course.  I am having a small wedding at Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa in 14 days :-) I chose it for the beach setting.  Congrats and good luck on your search.

    I just got married in June and we used Christina from A Bud & Beyond in Incline Village (North Lake Tahoe on the NV side) for our florist. She was great and also help with our linens. I highly recommend her :)

    For my nails I went with Cheri with Nails by Cheri in Incline Village (North Lake Tahoe on the NV side). She was great and the prices are good. She is the only one who works there so each girl will have to go one at a time, but she is really great and worth a look into.

    I am looking in the Reno Tahoe area for a place that can fit up to 150 people but i have a small buget and am so lost on where we should be looking. Any advice?

    We rented 1046 lakeshore a home for the weekend for the same price as most venues for 4 hours. 6 bedroom so was an all weekend party for us and out friends/family.

    How was 1046 Lakeshore?  We are looking in to the same type of experience, a private estate home that can be the wedding venue and home base for a weekend.
