For my shower the favors were little nail kits (clipper, files, etc) in a zippered flip flop thingy..similar to this:Also, my mom and her friend made gerber daisy and heart shaped chocolate lollipops and wrapped ribbon in my colors around the sticks. And finally, these were the centerpieces and then everyone took one home:

Pediatrician = Doctor with extensive experience and education on children.
Bumpies = Don't get me started!
I know who I get my health advice from!
    What are you looking at?

I've seen cute sachets of fragrance.  For FSIL's shower, my mom made heart shaped cookies and she bagged them in clear baggies tied with string.

My sister ordered the foam hand soaps from Bath and Body Works (various scents).

I did recipe shower for a friend of mine. We asked each person to send their favorite recipe and we made a recipe book for the bride. For favors I did a heart shaped cookie cutter w/ a sugar cookie recipe tied to it with a ribbon. I think we named the cookies 'sweet hearts'.

For my shower my sister had little packets of flower seeds. She had a little tag attached that said "life is a garden and love is in bloom!" With my name and shower date. I thought it was such a great idea especially because I'm all about saving the earth! Lol

I had one large shower (instead of two smaller) and instead of spending a fortune on something to give away, my MOH & BMs made a donation to the Westport Humane Society in my name (where my fur baby came from).  It meant so much to me.  They made a cute sign with a picture of my dog letting the guests know.  They actually had a few guests who wanted to make additional contributions.

My mom and her best friend searched for weeks and bought every little lacey/flowery/embrodered (sp) hankie at estate sales and then made them into little dresses around a paper doll type bride. It had a little poem with it. It was really cute. They were surprisingly a hit. Here's an example I googled... http://www.elizabethannedesigns.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/paper-doll-hankie.jpgThat's the poem they used... they just had a "bride" head instead of a ponytail girl. :)
