cherylll, sorry there's nothing authentic down there.  Have you tried Gui's (supposedly Korean) or Lumi dumpling house?

seriously, the printed that I sit right next so sounds like it's dying... and why does no one think it needs to be repaired!!?!?

Donna, I had never heard of either. I just looked at the menu for Gui. $15 for Soon Doo Boo Ji Gae! Oy. I usually pay $6-7 at Twins Hot Tofu. Guess that's Downtown prices :(  I might check out their Bento Box though on a day I'm feeling extra hungry.I can't find a site for Lumi, I'll have to check it out though! Thanks!

I am ready to throw my invitations out the window as they have been a huge frustration for me because of my high expectations going in. Hmph! Everytime I see a post about invitations or a printer I get grumpy just thinking how much trouble my invites gave me lolMy grandpa turns 80 this weekend!

I get a surprising amount of joy out of a family photo we took at DH's grandma's 88th birthday celebration this weekend.  I've always felt very welcome by his family, but I guess this is the first time it's really sinking in that I'm actually family now.

Chris made great time on the drive back from AR today... don't want to go back to work, but at least it's only 2 days until the weekend!

Sorry for the late response...meetings after meetings today. Thanks Mariah & Emi. I really appreciate it. It has nothing to do with the knot. It just seems stuff keeps happening one after another. Its especially hard when its family problems and the issues are hurting our relationship. :( I am just taking it day by day and see were it leads me too.

I REALLY want to go see Brad Paisley in September but we can't find anyone to split lawn seats with. You can only buy 4 packs and apparently country is 'out' among our close friends. The seats at the very back start at $26 but we would have more fun on the lawn. :(
  • edited December 2011
I have no idea who Brad Paisley is, but I agree that the lawn is always more fun.

Oh! Brad Paisley would be fun!  Country is still in in my book : )But I think we are going to spend out September concert money to go and see the Casey Donahue Band at Billy Bob's on the 1st.

Since it is now official that I do not have a teaching job for this school year, I've decided it is time I just get over it and move on. I am tired of stressing and I'm tired of my baditude. Today is the day I start acting like my old semi-optimistic self. No more Eeyore!!! :)

Thanks Girls my day got a little better, and now that I am at home I can have some me time, some how that seems to work most of the time.I got some unexpected money today... YAY!Sarah I hope everything works out ok. Keep your head up!

    1) I'm going to the Brad Paisley/Dierks Bentley concert!!!  TOTALLY stoked. 2) I have changed my baditude as well, Allison.  I was pretty down on myself for a while there.  I'm just going to suck it up and do what I can to hopefully turn things around for next year.  Friday, we should take a shot or get a drink in the honor of the crappy economy and lack of jobs/schools  hiring/hiring freezes  :) 3) I just threw my friend/co-worker her shower here at work and it was so much fun.  I ordered Society Bakery cupcakes and petit fours and drank some champagne.  I'm in a GREAT mood!  I'm glad we could get so many people to contribute to her shower and get her and her FI some really nice gifts.  I think she was truly happy with everything she got.

I'm down with the drinks/shots but I may just be drinking diet coke on Friday!  I am B-R-O-K-E until September 1st!
