I was seriously shocked when I found out that one Sarah Palin segment where she was being interviewed by Katie Couric was actually word for word what the real Palin said in the interview. I mean I shouldn't have been shocked, but I was.I am so freakin bored too. My job is so boring that even though I'm bored and have work to do, the work is boring too and I have no motivation to do it. I've been job hunting but there is just nothing in my field out there right now. I put in for the promotion at work but the posting just closed last Friday and I haven't heard anything yet. Ugh.

Kind of current event: There was a bridezilla on Bridezillas from my hometown and her probation officer saw her on the show violating a bunch of terms of her probation and she went to jail. Her H was also violating terms of his release. SMRT.

I don't think it is meant to be anti-gay rights, but it does imply that marriage should be between man and woman. Also it implies that marriage should be between them for life, IMO.

That passage is still read in a lot of wedding ceremonies today. Even having read it, I still agree 100% with this:I'm sure when Mark 10:6-9 was written, it was intended to be a nice sentiment about marriage. Gay rights weren't really contemplated thousands of years ago, to my knowledge. That's why I have problems with people who interpret the Bible literally and apply it to modern-day political issues.The Bible has been translated and translated since the beginning and there is no way to know the true meanings anymore. People can twist any passage to make it mean what they want it to mean. My dad used to twist the passage about a woman being subservient to her husband, completely forgetting the next lines that say the husband should serve his wife like Christ serves the church. He actually prayed out loud in front of company at a Bible study that my mom would be a better and more subservient wife. Whatever. People will take what they want and use it how they want.

Current events: It's FI's 30th birthday today! Weekend plans: Saturday: Hot class and trying to redeem a massage certificate I got for my birthday. Then going to the bar and seeing if they will let me put up birthday decorations because we are going out with friends for FI's birthday Saturday night.
