Im new to this

Hi Everyone. My name is Laura and my fiancee and I will be getting married. April 3, 2010. We just got engaged and I have no idea where to start if anybody has ANY ideas please fell free to email me. I have already made a list of the things that we need to do before the wedding, and have already made the 150+ guest list. If you have any information please let me know.

    Hello, welcome and congrats! It's overwhelming to begin with but don't worry, you'll be fine. The Knot checklist is a good place to start. Everything else will fall into place. Don't hesitate to ask questions!

    Welcome! There are a bunch of fantastic girls on this board. Every vendor I have booked as been through the rec's that I've received here so it's a great resource as well as great support through the planning process. Let us know if there is anything we can help you with. Seeing as how you're only about 8 months out my first advice would be to book a venue if you haven't already. Places fill up fast and everything will start to fall into place once that's done. Congrats! :)

    Welcome to the board. I would get a budget put together and book a venue to get going.

    Welcome to the board! Ditto what everyone else said-first budget, then venue, then photog and music. After those are taken care of, then flowers, cake, etc. We have girls from all over north FL here. Which part are you getting married in?

    Welcome! I agree about seeking out venues first. Once you get out and look at places, the rest will be easier.
