Anyone read Twilight?

I know I am a dinosaur for just now reading these books but has anyone else read them? I am only on the 1st and its an easy read and is keeping my interest but I still dont see what the big deal is. Is the movie better than the book?

    Yup.  Read them all.  The thing that kept me reading was wondering if Bella ever turned into a Vampire and if she did what was she like?

    How far into the first book are you? I read them all and I loved them. No way the movie pretty muched sucked compared to the books!

    I saw the movie before I read the books.  The book has more detail and some events played out differently between the movie and the book...that part is annoying.

    I read them all as well. The book was way better than the movie. How far are you into the book? Just wait, you will get sucked in. Just wait.

    Yeah that part was annoying! I hated that they changed some details that were clearly not that way in the book!!! (ie the chucks she wore for prom) ugh that still bothers me till this day! :)

    I think I was sucked in about half way through the first one. So, either the obsession is just about to hit you or you are strange. George didn't see me for about a week in a half while I read all of those books.

    LOL!!! I seriously went nuts trying to find Eclipse. I went to 5, yes five, different stores to find that book. I got one of the last two copies at Barnes and Noble!

    I was MIA for about a week and a half as well.  Andrew was jealous of my books!  I kept imagining being in her shoes and wondering what I'd do in her situation.  The last book = awesome!!!

    Movie gets an F compared to the book, but I still like watching the movie so that shows you how good the books are!  I would be reading at night and FI would call me and I'd be like, "why do you talk to rude?" cause I was so sucked into Edward and his manners!  I hope you join the obsession!  On a side note: the new Jr high here has a twilight fan club, when New Moon comes out they are gonna go see the midnight showing.

    i actually started reading it and stopped because i couldnt get into it, and then a coworker basically forced me to start reading again, and i was hooked. I am totally obsessed and already requested the day off so i can go buy my tickets for the midnight showing. lol yes... i am that girl. i got mad at andrew while i read it... i would always tell him "why cant you be a perfect romantic vampire!?"

    My little sister's friend left her copy of the Twilight DVD at our house and I've been watching it over and over again. lol. I am sooooo excited for New Moon to come out. That shiit better be good!!! I have a feeling it will be better than Twilight because there is more funding to make the movie =)

    I think that Rob is actually gross. Hopefully he wont ruin the movie for me. The guy that plays Jacob though is H-O-T! I feel like such a cougar for saying that

    Don't watch the DVD with the commentary. Rob ruins the character even more. He is really immature. Like little middle school boy.

    Ohhhhh no, no, no! My dad is like a fricken sliver back gorilla! Its horrible! lol I make George shave his arms. Well, not like "razor" shave but I make him take the clippers to them. He is getting more hairy as he gets older. =/ Yikes!

    I hate that they cast Rob as Edward.  Taylor is GORGEOUS!  I love that we all love him, as well as all the 12 year olds in the world LOL!  I love Edward and all, but I'm on the edge of being Team Jacob. mmmmmmm....Jacob.
