Paraiso Maravilla & LG Ent

Just wanted to shout out a mini-reveiw of these vendors...LG Entertainment was awesome! And Lewis is super cute :-)  We liked them a lot and will probably book them.Paraiso Maravilla was a beautiful venue. It has a very "old world" feel. The owner is very nice. Cost is $6800 for venue. That only includes tables and chairs. You have to use their preferred vendors.Cambell's did the catering and it was sooooo good. I can't remember who did the cakes, but they were decent. If anyone is interested in seeing LG in action if you missed last night, they are going to be at The Patio on Mercer Sept 27th. I'm pretty sure that's the right date. Cambell's will be catering there as well. I'll try to post whenever I go to an open house for a vendor. I hope they aren't annoying! I just want to help any fellow brides-to-be :-)

I loved it too, but $6800 just to rent the venue was too steep for us :-(  Too bad cuz they have my date open.

I missed out on their Open House due to work, but I was just there w/one of my brides for rehearsal.  I always love working @ PM, it IS such a beautiful place!

I agree with E- did you check a Friday or Sunday? Also, maybe check out: The Parador, The Tuscany Villa, Magnolia Hotel, or maybe Hotel Icon. Those places all sorta have an old world kinda feel. I'm using Tuscany Villa (their prices are on their website)

I am booking PM on a Friday, it is half the price.  And you do not have to use thier preferred vendors, you just have to pay a $500 fee to use your own, and they have to be approved first.  Just an FYI.

I agree. Paraiso is a beautiful place and yes u have to use there vendors if not it' $500.00 more. I'm stuck between them, Magnolia Hotel and Tuscany Villa. My wedding is not untile next year, but still I have some choices to make. I'm sorry I miss their open house.

I talked to Courtney who owns Campell's Catering and she said if you work with all of them, you can get a good discount. She was really nice and her food was great! Her company is in the same shop area with LG and the lady who did the cakes (I want to say Cakes by Janie...maybe??). My problem with finding a venue has been that I am having a Saturday evening ceremony. A lot of my guests can't take much time off except for weekends. My FI and I also have limited time off, so that's why we took the plunge and picked a Saturday.

I also believe, if I am not mistaken, it is cheaper for a Saturday AM reception too.  If that is an option for you.  I also have a caterer that has awesome prices.  It well makes it worth spending the $500 to bring in your own.  E-mail me if you want some more info....  oaklie at ymail dot com
