All I can think is how rude are these idiots, we are paying for them to have a free meal.  No one twisted their arms and made them come.  Who are THEY to judge US??? Noone has the right to judge anyone. PERIOD.

I judge people all the time. Everyone judges someone else for one reason or another. Your reception is a thank you to "the idiots" you invited to your wedding. If you don't want to pay for their meal why would you invite them?

TR I fear this has turned into a "I did those things for my wedding and everyone was cool about it thread"

We had a guest steal from another guest. H found out and told me about it. I really wish he hadn't, at least not until another day. I would have preferred not to have stressed out about that on our wedding day.

OMG people, I'm not saying you have to care that people will judge you, jut know that they will. Anyway. Another fun story, a FB friend of mine posted asking how people would feel about a Wednesday evening wedding. Because the venue she just has to have is booked for a long time for all weekend days. I might be overly annoyed bc she's also a STFU parents contender. You'd think she's the only mother ever to have to go back to work after having a baby. Maybe this can turn into an I Judge thread.

The girl in our circle of friends that normally does stuff like that just sent in her regrets last night for our wedding.  My brother and FI are devastated.  According to them, her not coming just removed any trash talking after the wedding.   My brother was looking forward to the "I can't believe she didn't wear underwear/wore white/danced on the table/puked in the bathroom/tried to get the bartender to serve shots" conversations afterwards.

Well, the no underwear girl was followed closely behind by the person who broke her foot, the person who swam in the pool in her dress and the couple who were giving each other hand jobs on the patio at dinner.  Apparently people had a good ol' time.

Yeah, that sort of stuff is fun. There was a chick at H's cousin's wedding who wore a dress with a bubble hem that was about crotch-length. The thing looked like a diaper. She thought she was so cool and edgy, meanwhile everyone else at the wedding spent the whole time mocking her.

I once saw a guest at a wedding in a white mini-dress.  I (and every other person at the wedding) can confirm she was wearing exactly zero undergarments.  And also plastic stripper shoes.  I don't even know the girl, and she's my favorite wedding guest ever.

<div>I adamantly did NOT want a bubble hem dress.  The consultant pulled one that was gorgeous except that it had a bubble hem, and I didn't even want to try it on. But I did, and immediately fell in love with it and got it.  But, I will agree that most short bubble hem dresses don't look right on most people. </div>

Bubble hems are the least flattering style ever.  Why does someone want to look heavy on the bottom? I just don't get it.  I asked my girls to pick out their own LBDs with 3 caveats: knee length, no tie halters (been to too many events where the tie lets go), and no bubble hems.  I'm fairly certain no one was bummed that bubble hems were on the no go list.

There was a girl with a bubble dress at my company's Chritmas party. It was super short and kept bouncing every time she walked, and you could about see all her goodies. Everyone at our table was taking bets on when we'd see ass or vag.

I haven't been to many weddings, so I've missed out on all this good stuff. The only slightly scandalous thing I've seen is people sneaking off to the corner or to the woods to get stoned at a friend's wedding.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: People WILL talk :   I think on long dresses that's an entirely different story. Or even on short dresses if it's a very subtle bubble hem. I'm talking about the ones like Daff described that look like diapers. Almost like it's a short dress with pick-ups?

My friend got married in the fall and her friend, who was also wearing a short orange dress, was really hammered and not wearing panties. It was certainly the talk of the men and the bride noticed. She said (when all the girls were gathered away from the rest of the guests) "Oh, FYI everyone *Orange Dress Girls* snatch is out". Oh, was it ever.
