I am compulsively stalking our registry and changing things. The only way I foresee this changing/stopping is when the invites for the shower go out. I'm so terrible!

NC- At this point, we don't know how much longer we're going to be here. We're looking to go back around the first of next year. If we don't go home, then storage is one option. The other option is, if we go to Sweden, we'll use part of the moving allowance to ship certain things there. I think the shower is October 3rd. It's kind of close to the wedding, but I don't even arrive in the US until Sept. 24th, so not much to be done about that. Julez, I always check through everything before I remove it. I don't think invites have even gone out yet so it's all good.

Scoetto - don't feel bad. I'm not having a shower either. Our present came from one of my friends who isn't even invited to the wedding. Also, I now have this horrible fear that my SIL isn't going to shop our registry and she has the worst taste ever.

Yeah, well at least furniture and new cars would be useful for both of you and are kind of necessary. $700 shoes for me...not so much :-p Though I bet they'd look mighty lovely with my future wedding dress!

Sco - No idea. For Xmas last year she sent me this deep red pillow that had like bedazzled tassels coming off it, some easter colored espresso cups, this necklace/bracelet set that looked like something my mom would wear, and other random stuff. I wonder if she'll notice that pillow is nowhere to be found in our apartment...

scoetto, I live in London, so it would be crazy money to ship, $10K ish. We don't know how long we are going to stay here, as much as 10 years. I am only going to register for stuff I can fit in a suitcase. So linens and small kitchen stuff pretty much.

Well, yes and no. Ideally, I'd like to go back to the US, but Sweden will be all right, especially if I have a job. FI and I are really over Italy and his new boss wants him to move up there. So, we're going to see who comes back with the best offer for both of us. I wasn't really into Sweden initially because it came after the decision to try to move back home, but at the end of the day, I'm not sad about getting more international experience, I like the idea of getting a job and living up there and we get more money working in Europe than we do working at home. So... *puts up hands*I don't know why I thought you guys were intending to move to the US right after you got married. I think I made it up. Huh.
