father/daughter dance song opinion

So I like "I'm everything I am because you loved me" by celine dion, but FI thinks it is more of a bf/gf song and not really a father/daughter song.  Opinions?

    I think it could go either way.  Does this song have a special meaning to you and your dad? My dad and I are dancing to Bryan Adam's "everything I do, I do it for you"  Its definitely more of a bf/gf song, so we are going to dance to it instrumental...maybe our dj with play it on the guitar.  We picked it because since I was little it's always been "our song"

    I love it. I think you should do what moves you with daddy. I love that idea. I'm sure people will question why I'm using mine but I didn't ask for too many opinions. I'm using "Soon as I get home" by Babyface. I'm using this for my dance with Dad b/c he used to sing this to me when I was a little girl and he was driving me to school. He loves Babyface, Johnny Gil, Anita Baker, SadeMakes me have warm loving memories of Daddy :)

    I just like the song because I do think that alot of who I am has to do with the things he's taught me and the way he's shaped me and I don't think I"d be where I am today without his guidance so I think the song speaks to me.

    I actually know a few other people that used this song for their father/daughter dance. If it's symbolic to you definitely use it!

    My brother used it for his mother/son dance. I definitely think it fits in with a parent/child dance.
