How long is too long to wait to Honeymoon?

FI and I have been throwing around honeymoon ideas lately.  We are getting married in March, but we won't be able to take a honeymoon right after the wedding because of work schedules.  We are taking a mini-moon to Amelia Island for a few days after the wedding though. Our latest though is to spend a week at the Biltmore in North Carolina.  Since neither of us has ever really seen "fall", we were hoping to go sometime in October.  Is this too long to push off the honeymoon? I am definitely OK not leaving right after the wedding, but I am worried 7 months will be too long.  Thoughts ladies?

It might not feel like a Honeymoon since it will already be 7 months out. but i say go ahead and do it whenever the time is right for you. the Biltmore in North Carolina is absolutely amazing! great choice.

I don't think it's too long.  You take it whenever you want to take it.  Some people wait and go on their one year anniversary.

There are a few ladies on the nest that waited to take their HM. One girl is just now taking hers and it's been about a year. I don't think you have to put a time limit on it.

Do whatever works for you. I love the Bitmore, Ashville and the entire surrounding area. I've always wanted to go in fall but I never have. You will have an amazing time!

JenCrabbe is doing the same thing. When she and her DH got married last October, they took a mini-moon to Hilton Head for a few days. Then they saved up during the year and are taking their official honeymoon in Vegas next week. They're staying at the Bellagio and taking in some great shows... Sometimes it's best to wait, as long as you promise yourself that you'll do it when the time comes! Biltmore is lovely in the fall.

DH and I were married last October. We took a mini-moon to Hilton Head because I just started a new job and didn't have that many vacation days. We are taking our honeymoon this week. I think that if you just have the attitude that it is your honeymoon and not a vacation things will be okay.

LOL. I didn't read what Duncan said before I started to write. What she said.
