[QUOTE]I didn't work today so today has been good.  I never work on my bday. This morning my mom took me to brunch at cracker barrel. Yum! Then we went shopping.  BF is taking me out to dinner later at a fancy restaurant I've been dying to go to for awhile.

<div>I looove Cracker Barrel. They have the best pancakes of anywhere, IMO. BF and I took a mini trip to a resort/casino a few hours away last year, and stopped at a Cracker Barrell on the way back for breakfast. He had never been to one before. We were the youngest ones in there by at least 30 years! I loved it though, and bought a bunch of awesome Xmas tree decorations from the gift shop!</div>

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Boring Friday! (but at least it's Friday) : aww those poor boys!  I bet they were mortified. Yes he is definitely trying.  We have started couples counseling and he is going alone.  He said he's determined to fix it because it made him realize what he wanted and that he was about to lose the best thing that ever happened to him.  He still might..I'm still on the fence but giving it some time and him some opprotunity to show some honest change. I am still planning to move to Texas though!  I am putting my resume together and kind of getting my ducks in a row financially. (he knows all of this.  He can maybe come too...but we'll see)

This has been a rule of mine since I was pretty young. No one should ever work on their birthday; it just doesn't make sense. (Happy Birthday, btw)

'Sounds like a good day so far. I just came back from a lovely lunch, consisting of several whiskey sours. Booze makes fridays much more bearable.

<div>I wasn't here for that.  Tell me about it.</div>
  • My Friday is pretty slow today, except for two of my vocal students and then taking the kids for a walk while the weather was nice.

I've been hanging out on the Bump lately because I was bored and yesterday got into a fight with some crazy women over the name Dallas for a girl. The OP's husband wanted to name their daughter Dallas (for the Dallas Cowboys) and she wanted to name her for her mother. Some of the women were downright b!tchy about it, saying Dallas was an awful name for a girl and "If your husband loves the Dallas Cowboys so much, why doesn't he change HIS name to Dallas?" or "You're naming a baby, not a puppy!"

I jumped in and said, "Um, why don't you use Dallas as a middle name?" But then one woman said, "Um, no. This is not the time for her husband to express his love for a sports team."

I guess I just don't see the harm in it. But holy hell were they up-in-arms.

I'm naming my future children Philadelphia Eagles.  All of them.  I guess if we have more than one, I'll have to number them.

ETA: But on a serious note, the middle name suggestion was probably the most logical argument in that thread, based on what you're saying. Ha. I hate the Cowboys, but even I think Dallas would be a cute middle name.

<div>Right? People name their kids Savannah, Austin, Dakota, etc. What's wrong with Dallas? Especially as a middle name. Anyway ... </div><div>
