Invitation wording

We are getting ready to create our invitations and I need some help with wording...My mom passed away a few years ago and my Dad just got re-married last month and my new "stepmom" took our last name.  I don't feel comfortable saying "Mr. & Mrs. Madonia request the honor of your presence..." To me, my mom was Mrs. Madonia, not this lady.  Any other suggestions? Thanks! Do you have your heart set on using their actual names?  You could always do something like "Together with their parents, Jane Doe and John Smith join you to celebrate" or something like that. That may work better for your situation.

Agree with pp. My wording won't mention my parents names, just ours.

Ours will say: Together with their parents my name & his name request the honour of your presence at their wedding 6:30pm Embassy Suites Covington, KY 4.24.10 I did it this way b/c we are paying for most of the wedding, but our parents are helping a little so I didn't want to call out one set of parents vs. the other. I think it keeps it simple.
