lemont tasting

anyone have any thoughts on what to wear? i mean...it's just a tasting, but is the lemont. i just wanted to wear nice jeans and a nice top and heels, and it seemed a bit much for the guys to wear suits. but apparently FI is telling me he should wear a suit. i don't even know if we will be sitting in the dining room or if we will be in the banquet room alone. thoughts? anyone? tasting is at 630pm and for some reason this has just now crossed my mind!

When we went to the Grand Concourse for ours, DH wore a nice pair of slacks and a dress shirt (what he would wear for work). This is also our standard for what we wear to any of the nice restaurants in Philly. I wouldn't expect the LeMont to be any fancier, especially on a Tues night.

I don't think he'll need a jacket. I can't think of any Pgh restaurants that require jackets. Plus, people in Pgh dress down a lot. I think you should wear a sundress just because it is nice out!

I wouldn't wear jeans, but I don't think he needs a suit.  Enjoy it!

Agreed with previous posts- I think you will be more comfortable in something besides jeans, but your FI doesn't need a jacket.

aw, i wish i had a cute nice sundress! boo :( i just assumed the guys would wear dress pants and a shirt, when mike mentioned a suit i was thrown off. ok, no to the nice jeans. dammit. now i have to actually go find something to wear. haha. thanks, i just that this goes swimmingly and nobody tries to throw anyone else over the mtn (i.e., my parents trying to throw FMIL over the mtn, they are not pleased with her). *crosses fingers*

Good luck and have so much fun!  I'm sure the ILs will behave when free gourmet food is involved, right?  :)

Jenny,LeMont has a no jeans, no sneakers and no ballcap rule.My daughter's FI wore dress pants and a shirt.  I think he skipped the tie this time.  She wore a dress.I just texted her to see where the tasting was held.  I thought it was a private room -- but I'm not 100% sure.

Jenny,She just texted back and said that they had the tasting before the restaurant opened for the night.  It was in a small section of the restaurant.

My fiance and I had a tasting in June at Le Mont, and he wore jeans and a nice shirt. It was at 4 pm, and the restaurant was empty and still setting up. I won't deny that he looked a little out of place.. but they didn't kick us out : ) Bill was still incredibly nice. I know this is of little use since your tasting was yesterday-- just, don't worry!
