table linens...

My dress is ivory... do I have to have ivory linens or can I do white??  Does it matter?

I have an ivory dress and I am dong white linens because they are free, and I would have to pay for ivory.  I don't think it matters.

It doesn't matter, but honestly, I hate white linens. Just a personal preference. I am doing black and ivory as well.

I had a black and white wedding with a diamond white gown and ivory linens!  :OI think ivory is usually standard, no?

My venue has white linens as their standard, I think it depends on the venue

Julie, I agree. It depends. If your venue has one for free it is absolutely not worth the expense to get a different color.

It doesn't matter. I'm a "go with whatever is cheaper" person, but pick what you want. Our venue has white linens that we don't have to pay for, so those work just fine for me :)

Use whatever you want. Trust me, no one but you will notice a small detail like that!

Also think about the way that the lighting changes the look of the linens. White may looks closer to ivory in a softer light and then no one at all will notice.

I don't think it matters.  My dress is white, the girls are indigo (a dark, dark blue) so we're having white tableclothes and navy napkins-they don't match exactly, but we get red, white, or navy free...so I'm going with those!
