DIY design help

I think I am on DIY overload.  We are having long banquet tables.  There will be 4 flower centerpieces alternating with red lanterns.  Each table is going to have a song that signals when they go to the buffet.  This is a sample.  That the runner fabric below it.  [IMG]http://i30.tinypic.com/2llk8zt.jpg[/IMG]Do you think it needs to be backed by some color?

    I think it looks nice just like that, since it has the rounded corners.

    I like the simplicity of the design, it looks very modern. If it is really bugging you. Then you can add a small simple border like a "stitch" or small dots to go with the colors and tie it into the fabric but nothing too overpowering. I am into simple design so I think its great.

    Thanks.  It wasn't bugging me per se.  LOL.  I am just chest deep in DIY projects and wanted to make sure that it wasn't too plain.  They will be the lowest 'object' on the table, so I didn't want them to get lost.  Currently, they are staying as is.  Darn current insomnia.

    Hi,I'm on DIY overload as well..hahahah!I like it.  I would like it better with thin borders or some sort.By the way, how did you make that????  I am looking into making my table numbers with the material like that and can't seem to find hard enough and big enough papers...did you cut them yourself?  if so would you lend me your DIY secrets???  Thanks!

    Oct09, they aren't very large. I used 8.5x11 cardstock.  I formatted it so that I could fit 2 per sheet (and have the sign on both sides.)  Each sheet was cut in half to split the signs.  I just folded the sign in half.  Then, I used my corner rounder.    One of my easiest projects.
