We did Shipping Up To Boston by the Dropkick Murphys for our entrance too - everyone loved it! And for the bridal party we did the Monday Night Football theme song, since we are both big football fans. For the ringbearer and flower girls we did the Star Wars theme (our son was ringbearer and he loves Star Wars), and for the parents' entrance we did The Best Day Ever by Spongebob Squarepants

Our last name will be Simpson so we are using the intro for the Simpsons tv show. As big Red Sox fans we are using Sweet Caroline for the bp entrance (it gets played at every home game during the 8th inning).

I have a huge question- I'm a year out plus from our wedding, but I'm so excited about the music that I'm trying to get it figured out now. So our ceremony is under an old oak tree, and my FMIL's friend has a daughter that sings at weddings and offered to sing at ours (whatever- I'm sure it'll be fine and FMIL is really excited about it) and I'm trying to figure out how all you guys have individual songs- the songs I like are 3 minutes or more, but it won't take us the whole song to walk down to the tree- it's a long walk but for the sake of our mothers we're only walking down half the walk. We're going to have (probably in this order) our three grandmothers walk in with two dads and the one brother, the men will walk back up (so we can do another song for them) then the inlaws, my parents, his brother and my sister (our best man and maid of honor) then FI, our daughter and me will walk together down. So how long will four sets of couples take? I can't imagine a whole three minutes, without looking silly. How do you guys pick so many songs? Just a couple lyrics of each?? Oh, and though my list is too long to name all the songs I want in the ceremony, I think I really want John Lennon's Grow Old Along With Me as the "entrance song" for us, and the singer will probably sing it.

We used instrumental "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for the BP, and Bary White "My First, My Last, My Everything" for us. We were at the wedding where each one of the WP picked their own song, but gotta say it just didn't feel right... it was broken up, DJ had tons of trouble coordinating the announcements and songs, and it took forever...

My husband and I are huge Mizzou fans so I surprised him by giving the DJ the Mizzou fight song and he played it as he announced us. My husband was so excited and loved it. Our wedding was also on one of the biggest Mizzou football games of the year!

Our wedding's in five weeks and the BP will be announced to Coldplay's "Lovers in Japan." Original plan was to keep the same song going when we're introduced, but we're toying with the idea of doing something silly. Not sure it will make sense though, since we're going right into our first dance.

I told my fiance he could pick the song that we enter to, and at the moment, he wants to do the instrumental version of Linkin Park's "New Divide." (He might change his mind before April, but right now, that's the plan.)I get to pick the BP's song and although nothing is set in stone, right now it's "Starlight" by Muse, which is one of my favorites.

He doesn't know this yet but I have a treat for everyone... we are using In the Still of the Night by Boyz II Men. My oldest daughter and 3 of her closets friends which will be at our wedding, are all seniors this year and have all been in choir together for many years. I am going to have them scatter throughout the audience and right before we start, 1 will stand and start singing, then the others will stand up at various times, during this time everyone will walk down the isle including my singers, and when they get to the shoop-de-doos in the middle my dad & I will head down the isle. The kids, my MOH, and my mom are the only ones who know about this. It ought to be a huge surprise for all!! As we leave the alter, my husband & I will walk to Follow You, Follow Me by Genesis.
