Almost done booking! DJ- Center Stage Productions??

Girls, I'm almost done booking all my vendors!!!  :)  What a relief!  I need one last piece of advice/recommendation.  Has anyone been to a wedding or is hiring Center Stage Productions as their DJ?  I can't really find any reviews on them, and I'm nervous about booking without knowledge of their previous events.  Again, and as always, thanks for all your help!!

I don't know anything about Center Stage, but we're using Capitol City Sounds, and I've heard nothing but good things about them from other brides. :) Chris Leas will be our DJ for the day, and he's very professional, quick to respond, no pressure, and we're excited to have him. If you don't end up booking with Center Stage, check them out! I believe they're going rate is $675 for 4 hours, which is comparable to other DJs in the area that I know of. If you want more info, let me know, but his email address is ChrisLeas AT capitolcitysound DOT com Tell him Alice says hi. :) We overcharged ourselves on the contract we filled out and he was quick to tell us that we made a mistake on our favor, which we really appreciated. He's been very helpful and just an all-around good, honest guy. Good luck in your search! I'll be glad when my final vendor is BOOKED! :D

I've booked Center Stage Productions.  Matt's services will blow you away when you compare his pricing with others.  He has over 20 years of experience - he does proms, club music, bar music, etc.  He has a lot of variety of experience and really knows how to read the crowd and read his customers.  He has ANY type of music you can think of - and if you want something he doesnt have - he'll get it for you.  He has a backup system on top of his back up system just in case something goes wrong.  His wife helps him as a 'music planner' and she makes sure that people are where they are supposed to be - so Dad is where he needs to be for the Father-Daughter dance, etc.  Book him early if you're getting married in the prom and possibly homecoming season!  He works out of his home in Westerville and has his office there - so I definately recommend meeting him!

Matt is amazing. He is my DJ. I had a whole thing written here singing his praises, and my computer just erased it all. So..I sum up. Matt listened to me when no other DJ would. They all were pestering me everyday stating that I needed to "book now" because slots were filling up. Matt sat down with FI and I to talk before I gave him any money. He listened to my rant about DJ's (I might have offended the profession a few times...). He has an extensive background in this realm (weddings, club, and a few proms too!) He knows how to get a crowd moving. I even asked for references and he was more then willing to accommodate. I interviewed 3 other DJ companies. All that were raved about here. I could not even get them to return my call unless I put down a deposit. I think I hit them up all on bad days. :) Matt was no pressure at all. He is even coming to my rehearsal to set up music cues. It is hard to hire DJ's I think. You cannot physically see their past work like you can with florists, make up artists and bakers etc etc...DJ's, you have to go with your gut because everyone has different needs. Hiring a DJ was such a stressor for me I think I made the right choice in Matt. But don't take my work for it. Meet with him, and come to your own conclusions. Good luck and let us know!!!!
