NWR: Patio furniture?

Why is everything so dang expensive?  FI and I close (crossing fingers) on our first house on Monday, and I'm on the hunt for a decent patio set on the cheap.  I thought that'd be doable...but everything is crazy expensive!  We went to Home Depot, Loews, Target, Walmart, Shop Rite, and K-Mart...and everything left is broken or mismatched (serves me right for waiting for the last minute!).  We went to Harrow's on 17 and it was way out of my price range.  I search Craigslist daily and come up with garbage or things too expensive for us.  I checked the Trash to Treasure board but there's no listings found for "patio".  Anyone have any recs?  Or know of anyone selling theirs?  fitnessdance@hotmail.com Thanks in advance!Amanda

    good luck..we got ours at sears, but it was on sale (and it was a shower present from fmil).....we had a helluva time finding something though...we went at the end of july......we went everywhere too...did you try costco or bjs?

    If you want something basic, I have seen decent sets on clearance (this time of yr) at Cost Cutters at nice prices.

    I've been looking for one too! I purposely waited until the end of the summer thinking all the nice, pretty ones would be on sale, but I haven't seen any great sales yet- annoying.

    Got mine at Sears online and then picked up in some random store in NJ.  In August its hard to find patio furniture.

    There are still several nice sets at the Home Depot in Garwood.  I was just there tonight.  They are on sale, too.
