Hey tiana, I'm actually a hairdresser and I agree that Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener is a great product. Fairly lightweight with lots of antihumectant (blocks humid ity ) . You should try adding a few drops of Moroccan Oil http://www.moroccanoil.com/index.php before you put your product in after you've shampoo'd and conditioned. It will help your hair dry faster and will make it super soft and smooth. We don't even sell it at my salon and we still use it on our clients because it is so good.

I'm a hairstylist, too.  And I still think it stinks :)  I think people either love Aveda or hate Aveda.

I usually find people use a little too much. It's really for mid shaft down and you should section your hair in two and use 1 drop per section. If you have some left over try it again.

aveda just doesn't work for my asian hair, it's just too thick coarse and unruly. But yeah Moroccan oil tames my mane.

I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the advice!!!  PS- I also LOVE moroccan oil!! It smells like a sexy man!

I love the Aveda smell!  I use the Phomollient (sp) and I like inhale it every morning lol.  Anyone have any products that do the opposite?  My hair has ZERO texture.

For volume I like Catwalk Superstar which is a light weight blow dry serum.  Or Fashionista (Catwalk) Big and Bigger...it's a little stickier but works awesome...start with a little.  A good root lifter is always my go to product as well.  Tiana- if the moroccanoil is leaving your hair greasy you're probably using too much.  And like pp said don't put it at you roots.  If you don't like the oil there a creme too.

theres a moraccan oil cream!?!?! that would be so much betterrr! i just dont like "oils" in general because i never put enough or put too much... my thing is if i cant put it on my roots it wont be good enough to block the frizz... but i will have to look up the cream thankkks!
